  1. imho, those low life self-righteous people, those with inferiority complex (critising danny for posting prices he paid for his clothing?), just stop reading the blog and maybe try to be a tenth as good of a human being as danny is (ok, ok, i am being mean - this stuff is just putting me off). it's his F-ing diary for crying out loud. it's a PRIVELEGE and not a right(guy is good-natured and self-confident enough to share it with the world).. so shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....!i personally found the 'clothing blog' a little funny and curious given i thought he was not such a good dresser (sorry dan
  2. for one i dont think its lame. also, it trumps watching celebrities playing poker (if you call it that) or those amateurs playing sponsored by ultimatebet on TV - if those two shows have audience (i am pretty sure they do), i can't imagine this won't. 'The world is flat until one guy tries going around it.'
  3. just an idea, though may be a stupid one so you guys go easy on me on this.if structured properly, we could have a live headsup match with Dan on TV, the other end being the majority vote of the live viewers on TV (mayb from websites as well). so it'd go like this - Dan raises x amount on TV, and the viewers/participants will have, say, 3 minutes to get the response in - the Big Blue will assimilate the data and have a response back to Dan LIVE. (The disadvantage to Dan is that he wont have any read on the opponent whereas opponents can see him on TV) - responses could be fold, call, raise bl
  4. i would have called.if i remember corrrectly, Danny made a similar play vs Freddy Deeb in the Plaza tournament last year with (Ah 7d?) on Ks 6h 2h board (last heart hitting the river) and Deeb had As Kd i think. Main difference is that Dan made a small bet into the big pot (30% of pot) that time since Deeb is more likely to fold to a small bet - here he made a real bet (if he has described what type of player Jon Doe was, it'd be easier to pin down what Dan had) but i think Dan bluffed. A friend of mine often says 'live by the sword, die by the sword'. I call.side note: i didn't calculate the
  5. somewhat fair point. but isn't there a difference between a lizard needing to eat the bug (their digestive tract cant crack the code of cellulose) whereas in human beings, it is NOT a necessity to eat meat. dont get me wrong, i am currently not a vegetarian but just trying to say there is a difference.in regards to the last sentence "What a horrible vicious cycle our Creator has made", did u mean it in a sarcastic way? this is not a forum to discuss that topic so i won't go there. but you did make an "interesting" point. if i were bestowed with super duper powers, i'd have made human capable o
  6. one more do add - "bloodthirsty" vegetarians?plants do not have blood
  7. difference -plants do not "feel" the pain. both have protoplasm and cells/tissues etc but all living things in animal kingdom 'know' that killing a plant is different than killing animals. last i check, i have never heard of plants' "nervous system". i have to go and check my textbooks. eg. if u kill a "daughter" plant, the mother plant has no idea. try killing a "daughter" dog - you'd definitely get a nasty fight from the mother dog. :)theoretically, one can argue why god didn't create homo sapiens so that we do not have to eat --- but just photosynthesize?
  8. I agree when you are not 100% sure, but in the case with David Williams, it sure looked like you were 100% sure that he said "All-In", and that I am 85% sure of i dont know if this irks daniel but it sure is irking me. some people just love the attention even if it means they will plainly be regarded as stupid, annoying and well disliked by most on the forum.
  9. feeling a little threatened by Dan at the table? may be a little bit of inferiority complex as well? Attack of the clones (wannabe's)!!! also there is a pretty big difference btwn being a jerk AND a clown. most people understood it since they were a child. "when i became a MAN, i put away childish things." ??? hmmmmmm ...
  10. wrong call to make with AJ, especially when you said first raiser is tight, and the other guy went over the top. i might even lay down pocket 9's and below in this situation - depending on the environment/feel.you can push with AJ. you cannot call with AJ - even AQ is borderline - especially early in atournament. my 2 cents. if you are short-handed down to 5-6 players, thats a different story.
  11. i am already a pretty aggressive player to start with so i gotta think about how to proceed. i am the type that would call someone on flop with nothing if i think they are betting their mid pair and raise on turn to take down the pot - again with nothing.i hear you on pocket 9 play. i think i will try that one. what you said makes sense.
  12. A7 in 4 handed against an aggressive player who just got on tilt? push preflop. you know he is going to push the stack whatver the flop - so either fold to the raise or reraise all in. calling is not so great.
  13. sorry. seat 5 i think. yes i am curious to find out how advanced 'tourney' players would play. not all advanced cash players are good tourney players. you dont really see people getting loose or tight near 'final' table - there is no final table. and you dont 'bust out' so to speak.
  14. so i just call with 9's and if raised big by button, fold? pocket 10's likely to raise a decent amount - you call and hope u hit the set? (that is going to leave me somewhat shortstacked afterwards). thats why i was struggling to see if a 'fold' is better in this particular instance. i am in good shape to go to final table if i pick my spot properly and i had a decent control over the table post flop.
  15. opinions on how experienced tourney players would play this would be appreciated -so i was bored last night and decided to play in this $11 buy in PStars tournament with about 1350+ people. down to 35-40 players after 4 hours when everyone got tight as they approach the final table (top 135+ pays cash). i had about 75k in chips - probably around 17th out of 40..chip lead was around 150k + i think. blinds were 1500/3000. i was down to 35k ish 3 hands ago on a bad beat (KJ vs K3 all in where 3 hit on river), and folded pocket 4's and doubled up on Q's. right after Q's, i saw pocket 9's (3 PP's
