Zach6668 513
Pittsburgh starts with some goalie drama. But honestly, even given Fleury's playoff ups and downs, don't think there's a team better equipped to lose their starting goalie in Game 1 warmup.

digitalmonkey 929
Bruins with zero shots in the 2nd period vs Ottawa. If the game was in Boston they would've been credited with 10.

Babying 613
I think I ruined Otto playoff hockey viewing. He represented me at a hockey pool. All he cares about our his players getting points.
Zach6668 513
That last Wild sequence was ridiculous. Trickling towards the net. Both Nino and Parise somehow bat it away from the net instead of into it. Inches, if that, from the goal line. Wild dominating but can't finish.

Dubey 1,035
Allen played well but he is... bad. Created 10 or More extra shots with Some of the worst rebound control I've ever seen. Frequently had no idea where the puck was and it just hit him. Never had any concept of where his rebounds were going, but they continued to bounce over sticks or slightly away from the wild players. Wild had shitty puck luck, should have scored 4 or 5. Never been more confident about a series down 1-

Dubey 1,035
Ugh. Felt like Washington slowly took over that game as it went along. First 2 periods were perfect for the leafs. That one was definitely up for grabs, would have been nice. Freddy played well but 2 bad goals hurts. Probably going to need him to steal a couple.

Zach6668 513
This Columbus-Pens series has been interesting. Jackets have had some seriously dominant stretches, including all of period 1 of game 1, and most of period 1 tonight. But they haven't been able to finish, and the Pens don't miss their chances. Dubinsky had a meltdown at the end of the second period. Went after Cole and got himself a penalty. Malkin scored a second after it expired to start the second. Then the whole team melted down after the empty net goal. Calvert crosschecked Kuhnhackl so hard in the shoulder or neck that he snapped his stick. Kuhnhackl not looking, nowhere near the puck. Then Calvert swings around and shoulders him in the head, just in case. Anyways. 2-0 Pittsburgh. 3 points for both Sid and Geno.

Dubey 1,035
If Matt Calvert escapes this with no suspension, the NHL is an absolute joke.
Dubey 1,035
-NHL floats idea of non-suspension through mainstream media talking head (Lebrun) -Widespread outrage ensues -NHL announces there will, after all, be a hearing for Calvert
Zach6668 513
Really something, eh? I feel like they'll find a way to talk it back because I don't know if it's clear that the cross check hits the head or neck. May be the shoulder. I also expect that they'll completely ignore the headshot immediately following this when Kuhn was bent over in pain. The DOPS is run by a bunch of dinosaur former NHLers. How do they expect the game to grow when it's run by backwards facing people?
