GWCGWC 83
It's been legal for recreational use here for a few years. I live in a much smaller community on the western part of Colorado and you'd never know weed is legal unless you wanted to buy some. There are massive benefits to the community with legalization. It's only a matter of time before every state goes in this direction and then the feds will want their cut and it will be legal on a federal level. I bought some on the very day it became legal to celebrate the end of prohibition. However, I can't get stoned anymore because my psyche can't handle it after a couple of decade of smoking week multiple times a day. Also, I can't afford to get any dumber or any less motivated to get things done.
Fenxis 99
I'm with Dale, weed can easily be considered medication and like almost any other thing, can be abused. But it has many many positives, and really no reason to be illegal. Especially when you have alcohol all over the place. I have a few friends who use it just to reduce anxiety and help them fall asleep. A couple of them are legally prescribed and a couple are not. My concerns with with pot legalization: 1. The effect on brain development and what is a good age cut-off 2. Seems to be fairly correlated with psychological issues but it could just be self-medication for traumatic incidents 3. How to make sure people aren't operating cars, etc.
MapleLeafpoker 1,462
I would not dismiss entirely any of those concerns, but I think all of them can be fairly minimised with proper regulation. You will never get rid of all abuse of a drug though, so your concerns have validity. Personally, I find #3 really hypocritical knowing what we know about drinking+driving. Lets face it, as a society, we do a horrible job of regulating drinking.

I have whiplash from those accidents and my neck always has a pressure feeling to it. However I have been able to cope with it I only wish the worst for drunk drivers

MapleLeafpoker 1,462
Steve, have you seen Sorkins "Steve Jobs". Im not a big Apple/Jobs fan, and I kind of thought I had had enough of the story/dramatizations of it, but man, I love the Sorkin twist. Im pretty much watching it again for like the 3 time now, just loving the writing+acting and how its spun. Just curious if you watched it and as a fellow Sorkin fan (I think you are, no?), if you like it. If not, ask Liz.

Untilted 158
KD Lang's version is great! There are so many great versions. Jeff Buckley is the standard for me but Rufus Wainwright, KD Lang and Cohen's take are great as well Here is another wonderful version as well: Cohen wrote so many great songs. Suzanne is probably my 2nd favorite. Neil Diamonds cover is great https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQmf5jvbkvU
gruven 530
Great songs. My personal faves are Bird On A Wire (and the Tom Cochran cover of it), and Dance Me To The End Of Love

Becks version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ny-wDCoCIfY I'm a Tom Robbins fan. Dubey 1,035
Steve, how are you enjoying Battlefield 1? As usual, I've barely had time to play. Finished the Tank missions (fun), and started on the flying missions (really fun). I love how they've structured the single player into mini stories. Seem really well done so far. Hopefully I'll get a chance to dive into the multiplayer at some point.
iBeaver 409
I haven't played much of the single player but about 13 hours of the multuplayer. Love it. Had some epic battles. Conquest is so much fun.
