Dn's Political Take In Subsequesnt Blog

Recommended Posts

First if you have not read any of my posts regarding politics here in the recent weeks, let me just say that for the most part I disagree with Daniel and that I am a republican and probably am on the same page as Baloon guy for many things, but I can also be in the middle or left on some stuff (abortion, some other less consequntial items). So here is why I started this thread. Daniel, please do not stop posting your views on politics, religion, the world etc. Your original blog and posts started some meaningful discussions on here (forget about all of the ignorant people who speak in absolutes and extremes). We as a civilzed society can have different opinions on major topics and still be friends/neighbors/relatives, etc. It is a great mental excercise, and it allows some people who may not be audibly articulate (e.g our pres :club: ), the ability to vent or delineate anonymously and possibly even the time to research a topic before responding, where as if this were in person that may not be the case.Daniel when you speak on something, the people in this forum, who read you on cardplayer and other places listen; and then respond, good bad or indifferent. If I were to make the same post as you did maye 20 people would look at it and I would get some smartass coments. As I said before I most likely disagree with you politically)probably not on everything), but I would not know that if you hadn't spoke up. You are not some Hollywood liberal who is guitly of the money you have made so you feel the need to do some publicity charity event that just gets you more face time, at least that how it seems. So keep challenging the intelect of the forum members, it is good for them, especially the younger ones who may not get a chance to have these kind of exchanges with their peers.I am not egostistical enough to think my single post will change your mind about stopping writing about these topics, but after reading this and maybe some of the responses afterwards, you will consider it.
