to be fair though Berglund wasn't in the Big M's lineup for his hat trick. The GM of the Big M's is going to have a word with the Coach of the Big M's about that one.

I figured that was just you being nice and not trying to run up the Champions League score. Keep it close so I get some entertainment.

After receiving that heartwarming letter, we typed up this response:   Dear Jordyn   Thank you very much for writing to the Whalers organization. You may not know this being just a 6 year old gir

.

open lineup spots = parity   ultimate goal is to play none on none, tie game.

Whalers and Big M's play each other on Saturday. If Whalers win in regulation and they win on Sunday and The Big M's lose on Sunday the two teams will be tied and The Whalers will have the tiebreaker and win the division.

I almost creamed in my pants at the thought

Starting Christian Dvorak for the first time today, in a "Big" game. lol

Was going to put in Tyler Johnson instead of him or maybe HSedin, but I couldnt find out before the deadline if he was in. I would use Johnson mostly just to cover a bit of any Kucherov pts.

Noticed Bob is using Berglund. uh oh

Also, is it a bad idea to use a FWD+DEF, against my goalies? I never know if its something worth considering, I used the only goalie I had, and the best F+D.

I really dont expect to catch Bob, but I still want to put in my best lineup if I can,

Since I have to stay up to watch these games, I figured I might as well take 2min to find something else to whine about.

Im the 'top seed' of this round, and get to play #6 seed PK Dealers,

vs PK lost 4-1

but if I had other opponents:

vs #4 seed Shortstackers I'd be up 4-1

vs #5 seed Broadway, I'd be up 4-1

and if other conference

vs #6 Shoot Loose, up 4-1

vs #5 Red Ravens, up 4-1

vs #4 Mustangs, up 5-0

vs #3 Steelheads, down 2-3

Season over, brutal exit.

Couldn't lose to a nicer guy though, so it stings 1% less. But man it stings to know I had a good round but just played the wrong guy.

Tough loss, Arp! You had a very good season...I don't think you expected your team to do this well back in September.

But overall, this was the worst thing that could have happened, right?

If you're on the bubble, being a lock to make the playoffs, building a solid roster for the playoffs by trading futures, then losing in 5games with the 2nd best scores every night....it sucks.

Sorry, it really stings this morning.

keeping things personal, dislocation #4 on Tues March 7th at basketball. Above was #2.

Strange coincidence? The 4 dislocations:

February 20-11

March 7-14

March 9-15

February 7-16

somehow this forum+thread became my diary. lol

Lets keep rolling with the Whalers thread being more about me, so someday I can look back and laugh.

Dislocation #5, Thurs April 20,2017 Basketball

Steve, have I tied you yet?

worst part is, I'm in the best shape of maybe my whole life, down to 182, doing a lot of running and had started to work out to strengthen the shoulder. I'm determined to keep this going, and hoping posting this will play a role in motivating me to keep at this weight, and keep working out once the shoulder has healed, and then be ready to play sports in September with a much stronger shoulder.

Huge move for us, time to go big or go home. There's is a teardown coming in Whalerland, but we're going to try 2 more kicks at the can. We start with this move to try to put us into serious contention for this year:

To Whalers:

E Karlsson

Jamie Benn

Gaborik

To Broadway:

Ryan Murphy-Min

Brandon Sutter

Emelin

G Vilardi

Whalers 2018 1st

Whalers 2019 1st (contingent)

$5 in 19/20

$5 in 20/21

Funny sidebar to this trade:

Ryan Murphy was a throw in for salary cap purposes, because he is a whopping $3 as a first round draft pick.

That 1st rounder was originally John's, and it came to me via our first trade ever in AHL.

In that deal, I got a 1st and Giordano, for 4 picks in Johns first year. Giordano I have had all these years, and just traded him away in a package for a first....and that was Vilardi!

Im going to really enjoy these posts when I read them again in 2022!

We continue to try to turn this 0-2 (0-3 in 3hrs?) team into a contender.

To Whalers:

J.Voracek PHI FWD

S.Weber MTL DEF

To Winn Combo:

B.Skjei NYR DEF

$1.25 in 19-20

Skjei is cheap at $1, $1.25, $1.50 next 3 years

Voracek+Weber are rentals, only good for this year

I actually had quite a few decent offers for Skjei, most of them good fwds at similar contracts, but I wanted to go more for this year, hence why I dealt him anyway. That, plus NYR gp really limits his prodctn for me this year

Someone explain this one to me from the winning combination's perspective

rebuilding team hoping that the 23 year old d-man with the good contract coming off the 39 point season progresses even further so they trade a couple rentals for him.

This is probably the second most lopsided trade I've seen since I've been in the league.
