Babying 613
you were in leagues with Darrell before the AHL weren't you Wayne ? Yes the league broke off after a heated discussion. Darrell went off and started another one I stayed and than did not like the shenanigans going on and left. Darrell contacted me and I came back in We use to go to don cherry in etobicoke on weekday game nights to watch and discuss

Babying 613
this seems to be a common theme with Darrell. I am going to side with Darrell on the first break off. I actually don’t speak to anyone from the former pool anymore
Zach6668 513
Whalers vs Big Ms in a big match-up tonight. I guess I'm mostly hoping for a no-OT/SO situation. Though a Bob win outright probably helps me the most. It's a veritable coin flip though. My projections show: Big Ms - 3.569 Whalers - 3.560 Not sure I've ever seen a matchup so close. Whalers with a big edge at F, Big Ms counter with a big advantage on D.
Zach6668 513
Meanwhile, Stackers are facing the Ingmen, who are poised for an upset. Mark Stone's return seemingly got pushed back a game, so I'm dressing the likes of Sam Bennett and Drew Stafford (and en empty F slot). Somehow, I'm still looking at a 1.5 goal advantage. Feels like I'm primed for an upset, though.

On paper, Landeskog is better.
Zach6668 513
Updated projections then are 3.569 for Bob, 3.340 for Arp. Meanwhile, Stackers are at 1.899 and Ingmen 0.326. Like I said, expecting to be upset tonight!

Zach6668 513
Arp wins barring a 2-goal performance from Nate Schmidt. (And Arp still has Marchessault to counter.) I think I win in a shootout if Hertl gets a goal. I think I would lose in a shootout if he gets 2 assists. 1.5 Hertl points in any matter, I win outright.

I lose in SO in all cases. I need 1.5 to win.
digitalmonkey 929
I don't know why we even bother to play the games...we should just ask Ortenzio who will win. Text from him at 9 last night: Btw, you are on your way to a 9.

MapleLeafpoker 1,462
Tell me if you guys read this same way I do.... AHL Rules "1. Two division winners will each receive 1st round byes. 2. The non division winning team with the best record will be the #3 seed and play the #6 seed in round 1 with seeds #4 and #5 facing off in a best of seven series in round one. 3. The top seeded division winner will face off against the lowest seed available in round two , while the second highest seed will play the highest seeded team left" With regards to point #3, in the 2nd round, the 2 division winners do NOT automatically get the #1 and #2 seeds. Correct? The 4 remaining teams are ranked in order of standings pts, and 1 vs 4, 2 vs
digitalmonkey 929
Bye winner #1 plays the lowest seeded team left after round one. Bye winner #2 plays the other team.

Correct? The 4 remaining teams are ranked in order of standings pts, and 1 vs 4, 2 vs 3 I believe the teams are seeded #1 through to #6 right at the start of playoffs and keep that seed the whole way through. basically if you don't win your division, the #3 seed it the highest you can get even if you have more points then other division winner. On a an interesting side note, the Gothic/Shootloose/Ravens presidents trophy race could see the presidents trophy winner NOT win their division and have to play first round. LOL
