Vegas Knights 54
Microsoft founder, Bill Gates, who scored 1590 out of 1600 on his college SAT test, was checkmated by 23 yr. old Magnus Carlsen (who supposedly also plays poker) in 9 moves, taking only 1 minute and 20 seconds. During the match Gates was allowed 2 minutes to make his moves and Carlson was allowed only 30 seconds. http://www.usatoday....-champ/4894925/

Vegas Knights 54
sounds like billy bit off more than he could chew. Gates is obviously an experienced player because he made a castling move which a novice would probably not do.
Theraflu 1,035
So is your overall point that Gates needed to get his comeuppance? That he isn't a good guy?
Theraflu 1,035
That castling line is super dumb too.

Ron_Mexico 4,219
All that full on rapist behavior that Bill Gates shows. Wait, philanthropist behaviour. Donating billions to charity. Fcking guy needed a comeuppance
Ron_Mexico 4,219
I think I just doubled down on Shake's comment, but I felt the need to make the full on rapist joke

AmScray 355
Bill Gates nets an estimated $390,000 per hour for his skill set. I'm sure he'd trade that in for the Chess skill set, no doubt, and take his place among the other 5000 Aspergers dicks all pining for Judit Polgar.

David_Sklansky 1,903
This is such a ridiculous story. Gates is a smart businessman, not an Ayn Rand character. If you told me that Albert Einstein had beaten the best American female, 12y/o and under, during his prime, I would be skeptical or attribute it to variance.

David_Sklansky 1,903
Steve Jobs (peace be upon him), on the other hand, has a biography that should be titled Fountain Head 2: Electric Boogaloo There are two kinds of powerful people: the ones whose success is the product of their own ability or inheritance, and those who rose to the top by mooching off gov't handouts. The former are the best at everything from untrained, solitary scientific research to putting out fires with a shovel and sand, while the latter are from exactly the kind of Keystone Kops operation that would get mated by "the Justin Bieber of chess" in 9 moves. Looks like we found out who was Hank Readen and who is Orren Boyle.
BigDMcGee 3,352
Don't forget that The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is the prototypical morally bankrupt "altruistic" charity. The Foundation wields it's power like a defacto government, funneling money from first world producers, to third world parasites. Worse, he uses guilt to shake down great Producers like Buffet and Zuckerberg to add to give their righteously earned money to Gate's immoral cause.
AmScray 355
The Gates Foundation is our last shot.
David_Sklansky 1,903
Hotter trannies would be a big step forward. If a standard tranny looked like Bailey Jay, this would be the last generation.
