BigDMcGee 3,352
If the show's good, the show's good. Horseracing (triple crown excluded) has been on lifesupport for 20 years, but Luck was a great show. I'll give it a chance before I start getting snarky.
BigDMcGee 3,352
though, if you wanted me to get snarky, calling it Swingers meets Rounders meets Entourage, is a good place to start.

Scroom 436
though, if you wanted me to get snarky, calling it Swingers meets Rounders meets Entourage, is a good place to start. True story. I once had dinner with a TV producer. During the course of the conversation, he noted that the surest sign of a dead pitch is "It's kinda like (x) meets (y)..." That is a losing formula 99.9% of the time. The right formula is either just rip off X or Y completely, or be something entirely different. He noted that the vast majority of pitches he hears characterizes their proposal as some hybrid of old or existing project and the moment that trope comes out, that's when he knows to pop smoke. And yet, I absolutely know for a fact that the xXx pitch was " It's James Bond meets XTREME Sports", and that was a classic.
