Scrim 115
Bannon is very intelligent but has some very dangerous core beliefs. It's why he's so concerning. A classic mistake ideologues always wind up making is writing off genius adversaries as being 'evil'. The problem you have before you in Bannon isn't 'evil'. 'Evil' is dirt cheap and easy to come by. Your problem is 'genius' because apparently, the left has absolutely nobody in the stable that can counteract the guy, meaning that they're reduced to belittling themselves with whining and tantrums. This is all rather interesting to observe as the American left has enjoyed cultural supremacy for so long that they've lost the ability to argue their positions in the context of right and wrong, since it's much easier to do it from the basis of 'good' and 'bad' when the cultural mores are yours. Intellectually, they've become like campground dumpster bears who are unable to feed themselves since they're so accustomed to people blindly agreeing with them, suddenly thrust into an area where the dumpsters are fewer and farther between. They're the 'bad' ones, we're the 'good' ones. They're the 'intolerant' ones, we're the 'tolerant' ones. They're the 'bigots', we're the 'accepting' ones. That's how it's been for a generation or so and that was all they needed. Now that saying 'racist' doesn't really work anymore (much to the relief of scientific racists like Dubey), it boils down to ideas and there, they have a problem.
Dubey 1,035
That certainly has some merit. However it glosses over the fact that Trump and Bannon are actually lunatics. Is there a "boy who cried wolf" dynamic? Sure, but let's not forget that there is legitimately a wolf on the loose. And it's got nothing to do with left and right.
Dubey 1,035
It seems to me, the current Trump/republican strategy seems to be: Don't compromise on a single thing. It's actually a brilliant strategy. The outrage is so widespread, and as a result, so spread thin, that the legitimately terrifying things (Deal with it SA) are getting like 5% of the attention, because the rest of the public/media attention is spread over the other 20 ridiculous things that are happening at any given time. Trump is an ego driven lunatic, Bannon is not. Bannon is as ruthless and cunning and measured and calculated as the absolute best. He will make the left long for the likes of Karl Rove. You ain't seen nothing yet from Steve Bannon.

Balloon guy 158
Yeah Bannon is the 5% that the democrats/left media should actually be focusing their energy on Democrats // left media are so completely inept that they are failboating everything possible. The Donald trolled them about reporting muslim terrorism, and got them to all start reporting about Muslim terrorism, while engaged in a national debate about restricting muslims from terrorist infiltrated countries. They are incompetent boobs playing checkers while Trump is playing Go. They make grand stands of rebellion on issues they cannot stop, such as his cabinet appointments, wasting any capital they might have hidden in their sleeves after the Republicans picked them clean during the election. Now they resort to meaningless riots to try to make the case that muslims are peaceful, while Austria hands out Rape Whistles and Europe is trying to pretend raping women is a cultural thing they will grow out of in a couple generations. And their bench is weak..oh so weak So much winning. I thought it was an idealistic boast by Trump, but it's the new reality.

Balloon guy 158
BG, how expensive would it be to get my clubs lengthened? About $10-$15 per stick. Just get new grips and they can lengthen them when they install the grips For what it's worth, I'm 6'5" and play with 1/2" longer than standard.
Balloon guy 158
Is it possible to enjoy Sen. Warren getting shut down in the senate more? Not only was she shut down, her sanctimonious attempt to use MLK's widow's letter has backfired dramatically now that all the links to the widow thanking Sessions for his work in 2000 has made her point moot. I live in the country club that hosts the Dinah Shore major for the LPGA. The LPGA also uses these course for their Q school. For weeks leading up to those days, little girls are practicing on the course, usually alone or with a coach. They wave you through so they can play 3-4 balls each hole. One time I came up to a 5' nothing girl looked about 19-20 at the tee box of a dog leg par 5. She told me to go ahead and play through, so I teed up and smoked one with soft draw which is perfect for this hole. She told me good shot, so I waved and drove to my ball. Her ball was 10 yards past mine, The tournament tees are 15 yards behind the blues I hit from on that hole. I use to hit it far..... Technique trumps power in golf.
Balloon guy 158
So here's my prediction. Democrats are incapable of any thought process that matches reality. So they 'took on Trump' over a 90 day travel ban from 7 failed government countries with ties to terrorists... Achieving their goal how they often do, by getting one loony judge to rule that the laws aren't right, then get the 9th to uphold it. Never mind that 80% of the 9th's rulings are overturned. Think of that, 80% of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals rulings are deemed unconstitutional. I guess they get to keep trying until they can get their success ratios above 1/4? So to the Supreme Court probably, to rule on whether or not the Constitution and 200+ years of precedence including the last President in office have the right to follow the Constitution, or whether precedence matters. Let's say they get a 50/50 vote in the SC, because the dems delay the Trump pick, this means the Loony 9th ruling stands. Liberal nirvana, high fives all around. Tears of joy, Celebrities moving back from Canada, the rising sea levels will subside, all will be right, riots protests suspended for a whole weekend...with pay! And then Trump's pick for SC gets placed in office. And Trump has both houses and a pen to write a new order. AND a desire to 'fix' this problem with the courts that has been the only way liberals can get anything done, cause they never get anything voted on. ( gay marriage ban in California passed with 66% of the vote , one judge overruled it) So the liberals will win a small tiny 90 travel ban battle, and in the process, they will regulate themselves to a minority party for the next 2 decades. More importantly, they will create the momentum that will ultimately destroy their one and only method to pass their loony schemes, the courts. Daniel Horowitz has written extensively about the method to limit the results of Madison vs Mulbury and reign in the out of control courts. And the Liberals and the democrats just handed the Trump administration the fuel for that fire. If Trump does nothing else as President, this alone will be ensure he gets a seat as one of the greatest presidents ever.

scuudagouch 15
the 9th circuit court from the west coast is looney liberal.. shocking. Never would have seen that coming. 50% reversal is amazing stat thank god we have those 2 communists on the bench that Obama appointed. It is incredible that every day libtards continue the same old story...speaking of that carry on Bob!
Fenxis 99
Both Bush appointed judges that have had to make a ruling on this have upheld blocking the ban so far. Dubey 1,035
This is uncomfortable to watch, lol. There's a bunch like this on the internet. Trump is awkward and terrible at handshakes. I think he read in a book at some point that you can use an overly firm handshake to exert dominance, then just took it 4 steps too far in his day to day life.
