Regular season is now over. Jeff became the odd man out after a ridiculous final day. Mike needed a late Bieksa assist to seal up his first playoff berth in a million years (since the original season,

A few interesting tidbits:

Jay (Newmarket Hurricanes) has failed to qualify for the playoffs for the first time since 2007, after a record 5 consecutive berths. He also had a 4-year streak of division championships. Adam earns himself his first Gilmour Division title.

The Halifax Moneyshots go from 3-consecutive Tugnutt Division champion, to last in the league, by a mile, and will have the best odds (40%) of winning the draft lottery. The Blindsides earn their 3rd Tugnutt Division title.

The Golden Seals have won their 3rd straight Division Supreme title, as well as their franchise's 3rd Regular Season championship (2x Dubey, 1x Nell).

Additionally, with the Blindsides making the playoffs, and the Hurricanes missing, the Blindsides have taken sole possession of the league record, with 6 consecutive appearances in the playoffs.

Another interesting tidbit:

The Golden Seals and BlackDevilHawks will meet in the first round of the playoffs for the third consecutive year.

The Seals squeaked by in a 7-game series 2 years ago en route to the FCHL championship, but were upset in the first round last year.

First non-Canadian champion coming up, I think.

Remains to be seen if the champion will be the first non-subject of Queen Elizabeth or not.
