Yoda 1
wow, i never knew the democrats hated onlinepoker so much. The repubs beat them in a freeroll SnGHow come they are still debating - are there multiple amendments/votes?
SBriand 4
I'm not surprised that some Republicans helped shoot it down. Some were upset because there were exclusions in there for horse racing and lottery, and they felt that if you were going to ban online gambling, you should just ban it with no exclusions. And a couple years ago, Jack Abramoff, that lobbyist who went to prison recently, worked over a lot of Republicans pretty hard in order to get them to back off the bill, so I'm guessing a few of them are still beholden to someone out there.I also heard that the casinos, who were backing the bill, let off a little after they heard that legislation might be proposed to just regulate and tax the industry. They were all for that.

That is all.i hope youre joking. once again, the originator of this bill is a Republican who has spent the last 5-6 years trying to ban internet gambling failing each time. each time he ammends the bill to make it a little less severe and each time it continues to fail. Yoda 1
Someone explain to me how this crap works - are they lobbying on amendments to the overall bill and have they not yet voted on the final bill? Or did they vote it down and now some whiners are just trying to get it re-voted on.
braminc 0
on right now is the ******* Republican Bob Goodlatte who wants to pass this shhiitt. once again hes harping on the billions flowing out of the country.
