Part of his deal with the TV show was that he wasn't going to do the full four hours on the radio once his TV show started. He said he was told by a lot of people that he would just get burned out right away. So he picks his spots. I'm sure that's why they replay interviews at the end of the show a lot more now. I listened to the very first Chad Pennington show and have skipped every one since then.

yeah, hi, lombardo..Apparently there's an "al lombardo" who's a sports host in Boca.. his show is on from...... 6:04-6:30 AM monday AAAAAND.... 6 to 7 on saturday, the "sports saturday show" on 740 AM, money talk radio in Boca Raton..http://www.wsbrradio.com/scheduleI'll be tuning in this saturday eagerly.

Dan's "analysis" was sorely lacking yesterday.On DLHQ he said that nobody was more surprised than Derek Fisher that he got the ball at the end of the game because he never gets those shots. I thought it was widely known that Fisher has hit a ton of big shots in his career.Then he says that nobody was expecting the 49ers to go for the TD at the end of regulation. I don't know how many people expected it, but it never even crossed my mind that they wouldn't take a shot at the end zone.Then he laughed off Stugotz for saying that Alex Smith should've taken a knee instead of scoring on his run. But that was absolutely the right play. If he takes a knee, they can run off the rest of the clock and then kick a chip shot field goal for the win.Then when talking about QB's he said, "Forget all the numbers and stats, how do you feel when Matt Moore is facing a 3rd and long?" I mean, he actually said, forget the numbers and trust your gut.

i havent finished the whole show, but he was pissing me off when mocking Stugotz for saying a smith needs to take a knee there. absolutely the right thing to do. i think LT did that once a few years back, but i cannot remember all the details.and i hate when they have stephen a smith on the show. i despise him so much.

I know Westbrook did something similar once. I think they were up 1 and he broke a long run and stopped right before the goal line and took a knee. Then they just ran the clock out. If he scored, they'd be up 8 and giving the ball back to the other team with a chance to tie. Smith's situation was a little different because they were still losing, but it's still the right play. Would you rather trust Akers to make a very short FG or your defense to stop Drew Brees?

This weekend told us that you take the score when you can get it. Knee jerk man. Ok, within reason. The smith score was fine. If there were over a minute thirty left, then it gets tricky

Good read. I read the link to that article about his dad too. Good. Sometimes I forget to read Danny's stuff in the Miami Herald. I can't stop saying "Sam Snead, my god"Loved Hoch's "I got ya" from Wednesday about Madonna, among other things. He really kills me.
