  1. Ok, we all learned at some point in our journey to becoming a better player that there are a lot of different components to the game that are important to becoming a "good player". By "good player" I mean a winning one over the long term. My question today regards the one area that has proved the most difficult for me, short term memory. I've read or am in the process of reading a number of poker books and rarely is short term memory listed as an area to focus on to improve ones game but yet it’s necessary to be able to keep track of opponents betting patterns, tells, opponents play from past
  2. Appriciate all the replies, Everyone!! Very helpfull!
  3. LOL actually i didn't mis-spell it like that in my search attempt, but thanks for the quotes tip!
  4. I've done a search for Poker Acaemy but have gotten no hits with anything helpfull. I just tried again to see if you could tweak the search parameters, but the search engine doesn't seem to be working right now. Just brings up a blank page.
  5. Congrats Al! Good luck in your next tourney, whenever & wherever that might be!
  6. I downloaded the trial version and it plays great, but I was hoping to get some reviews from other forum members. It seems to provide alot of feedback on your game. I've been wanting to get a program like this and was original thinking that the Wilson Turbo Poker was the only comprehensive training program out there until I found Poker Academy. It's endorsed by Antonio Esfandiari, Scott Fischman, and Hoyt Corkins to name a few, but I always put more weight in the actual users reviews so......I'm also curious as to how it compares with Poker Tracker in regards to tracking & analizing your
  7. I'd love to join up, Oz, but Sunday nights i'm at work and auto drafting a live draft sucks! But that's just my opionion.
  8. I watched some very nice play from Brian from the rail during this Championship event. I have to second Daniel's observation that Brian carries himself quite well at the table. The only time i really saw any emotion from him was when it got down to heads up play. The ability to adjust ones game is a very important aspect of the game of poker and as well as Brian played, a few adjustments and i can see a very bright poker future for him.
  9. Sorry to have to change things up, but nfl.com is going to disband the league because it doesn't have 12 teams so I started a Yahoo league (which i probably should have done from the start) because it is less restrictive and we can more than likely meet the requirement of an even # of teams by tomorrows drafttime. Hope to see you there!!League ID# : 518523Password : goallinThe draft is at 5:15 PM PDT / 8:15 PM EDT
  10. Hello all! I've started a Fantasy Football League which i've opened to members of several different forums. Actually 7 forums to be exact! It's short notice I know (as the live draft is tomorrow night at 6:15 PM PDT), but if your interested drop me an e-mail at laketahoeguy1@yahoo.com and i'll send you the invite via the host site (nfl.com). We must have the league full (12 teams) by midnight tonight (EDT) and we have 9 in so far! 3 from goallin.com (my home site) and the rest from pocketfives.com! I'd love to have at least 1 from FCP so get your e-mail off to me now!!
