  1. I was reading DN's blog recently about running 200 up to 5Kish in 2 days and started thinking about this. While we all know that the average pro will show better results than the average non-pro both live and online how much of that may be attributed to the name of the player. I suppose the question is this - based on DN's results on the post - how well would he have fared if the other players did not know that it was KidPoker they were playing against? I've played some variety of poker for over 20 years and consider that I do have a pretty good idea of what is going on around me at the ta
  2. Thanks for the response Bob. There was some invalid data on their end but they got it corrected so it is all good.
  3. Anyone had success with the transfer yet? I rec'd the email but it keeps telling me that the information I am providing is incorrect. The action was: Check, Check, re-check the info and still says it is invalid. Emailed support but no luck with the suggestion which was pretty much - "type in the information and it should work". Never thought of that one....
  4. Oh I get it now....I guess that I was confusing his joke for pun because puns are never funny and jokes sometimes are. I think there should be a FCP "Everything Must Go!" sale and hoping to get a whole slew of other people asking for the same and then Bob can make that happen, yes? Isn't that how a democracy works...oh wait...representative republic...nevermind.
  5. Sounds like good news for the volume but somehow I'm already feeling a bit nostalgic for the old friend called FCP. :icon_sad:I'm guessing that I'll have to quit my day job to be able to play enough to freeroll in the Protege contests now. Gonna go from like 100th in points for the qualifiying period to 278,000th.
  6. Well hopefully my suggestion was not interpreted as meaning "play .10/.20 for 60 days". Just consider earning a few extra buy-ins at these levels for 4 weeks or so then take your shot up - you'll have a better safety net than you will playing where you are heading. 2/4 - is that a date or intended starting level? Didn't ask this earlier but I hope that the word "limit hold 'em" is not in your vocabulary for this feat.
  7. Well, it is feasible but as earlier comment suggested it would depend on your skill factor above all I would think. I personally would think it to be a bad idea to risk the BR that way because if you are thinking in terms of needing to obtain the 2K this way and you go busto you might find yourself at 3 weeks out needing 3K then instead of the original 2K goal since you are like going to be reloading.Suggestion (and unintended brag post) - I rolled 80 into 1300 in 6 weeks playing primarily .10/.20 (moved up to .25/.50 at around 1K) after starting at .05/.10 as a little personal experiment. I
  8. yeah, had a buddy that played in that game once - disco inferno was playing that night - the braves player was john rocker (at least that night)
  9. wouldn't make a difference...likely a dns routing issue
  10. posted this in another topic so oops on the double post - some of you may have considered this already - my ISP is one affected however i am able to play using my office vpn so perhaps this could help some of you if you hadn't considered it (of course dependant on your office isp but i'd say a very good likelihood that it isn't the same as your home unless a VERY small town). of course if you work for someone who might freak over this i wouldn't suggest it...
  11. I was having the issue on my local ISP (bellsouth) - still having it tonight. so then i started thinking - saturday night - no fcp? and then gave it some thought hmm...perhaps the office vpn will work...bingo! and nearly doubled up on my first hand played to boot ...woo-hoo!
  12. funny...i'm going through the same situation myself. once it became a little more of a pain to deposit i decided to put myself to a similar test. my online br was down to $80 after going through a little spell of "i'm quitting online" poker and just donking around. so i decided that instead of quitting the online game i decided to force my online br management and about 7 weeks later of playing micro limits i'm at around 875 now (bragpost for chump change). sometimes it is difficult to fight the urge to move up but like a crackhead that says no to the pipe it feels good doesn't it? except f
  13. Interesting thing happened today that appears to be a bug. Was on the waiting list for a ring game. Saw the seat was open before I was notified and sat at it. About 15 minutes later a player left the table and the invitation to join the table appeared. When I declined it (since I was already there of course) the Join Waiting List button appeared on the screen and after that the table locked up. After a few minutes everyone had left the table (except me) and then another player joined and we continued on. Played one hand and then the next thing I know I try to put in a nice raise on the n
  14. Some repeats here I'm sure but including them anyway to show support for the cause. Interface/Aesthetics:-See account balance on main screen again-Hide avatars for empty seats-Consistent cards would be nice - the floating face card suit is a bit annoying for some reason-Play/Real money on separate tabs from main screenChat/Info:-Detachable chat window-Option to limit chat to only active players - annoying to have railers commenting on what a solid player I am all of the time. -Ability to selectively mute players' chat-Show dealt cards in chat window as it was in the old interfaceGame Play-Sm
