  1. How much do you lead with on the turn? If you are flat called, what's the play on the river? Surely we don't want a big pot here, do we?As played, since you suggest letting him keep the lead, how big of a bet do you call?

  3. I'd like at least a couple of opinions on whether this is a justifiable play - particularly if it's only once in a while. My logic was that raising disguises my draw and may get me a free card to the river since I'm in position - possibly letting me see all the cards for a cheaper price than calling, and reducing the chance that I might have had to fold to a turn bet. I would raise with 2-pair, so villain can't be too happy about firing out again on the turn very often can he?I think posting the whole hand before may have turned people off, but I'm really interested in whether this is a spew
  4. I still think it's a fold because of the odds you're getting and the other players in the hand.

My question is whether the flop play is good to mix in around 5%
  6. I play this kind of hand like Royal says, with positive results. The Q is just a bad card to check after you c/c on the flop. If you were on a draw on the flop, it didn't help you. If you were floating the flop with a queen, why would you check when it hit? If I were the villain I'd c-bet the flop and the queen too if you check to me, putting you on a straight draw, combo draw, some pair < TT or a suited Ax or Kx that gave you a pair on the flop. As played I sometimes call, sometimes fold depending on my image for how often each way. It just seems weak to c/c and the c/f that board al
  7. This is pretty much what I put him on, which is why I tried to get the money in instead of leading or c/c from fear of a boat. I just wasn't sure how often most people would value bet (giving me a chance to raise at all) and then call the c/r with those hands compared to how often they'd call a lead of the same amount. Also, I wasn't sure what probability to use for the boats that kill my EV.Villain had AcJh for trips.

  9. I would add that if you make a smaller raise or just call preflop you'd be more comfortable playing KJo. It's not a hand you usually want to play with in big pots. By raising more than 3-4 BB preflop, you're setting up a big pot.
  10. This seems right to me. It's a value raise to build the pot if I understand correctly.
  11. I can't imagine you're ahead enough to call. Would villain do this on the turn with AKhh to disguise the flush draw?
  12. I think I put too much emphasis on pf action when deciding this kind of thing. Because he limp called, it was hard for me to put him on a Q but QJ makes sense.
  13. he's shorter than you and if he shoves you're not going to know if it's out of frustration or if he's made a hand. Seems dangerous to me. But you're better than me, so maybe you can pull it off.
