It's certainly possible, I've averaged 10k a month in 2004. The long version is more complicated. First of all be glad it was just a tourney, if you'd run into a run like that in an NL cash game the stakes & losses would have been much, much higher. I've seen similar runs in online NL cash games and the damage can be huge since too many people refuse to believe someone can have good cards that often in such a short period of time. I have played so many more hands online than in B&M there's no comparison about what I've seen in each environment.
