Obviously, a very risky play, and possibly a standard bet on the river would get the same result.Basically, villain is never donking the flop and turn, and then check/calling a river shove. I think you turned the best hand into a bluff... also, the overshove is probably unnecessary. I doubt you'll see 2x the folds here versus one from a PSB

Then you whip out your cock and sharpen that instead and yell, "Ha ha, bitches, you never saw that coming!" Well, no, they didn't. But you still have a dull pencil and bleeding dick.

I like the hand except the river call, especially if you think he whiffed a draw. Your king high no kicker is actually behind a lot of draws he can show up with here. If you're going to go hero on it, you need to pull the trigger on a bluff jam. Also, I'm fully aware this will come off as results oriented, but I actually don't expect a pair/draw to show up here as much as the NFD or a strong king high draw.

i would kinda lean towards villain having a FD in this hand.. maybe he chose to donk his FD on flop and turn and gave up on river.we may have very well have had the best hand the whole time here.

lol I think that was probably the worst part is I probably did have some showdown value. I think the play is more suited towards your non showdown value hands.I actually haven't taken this line in probably a few years when I first learned it, but out of the 6 or so times I've done it (I know, huge sample :club:), I've never been called on the river. Not sure how it plays with a PSB bet vs. a shove.

That's the beauty of it. It doesn't really matter what you're repping, because it's just so unlikely for villain to ever donk flop, donk turn, and then check/call a shove on the river.

Based on results I'd say it's very likely that villain had been betting the draw, but there's nothing inconsistent with him betting a made hand and then checking to induce. It's not as if the line makes no sense.
