  1. Thank you for answering and congrats to the quick success so far!But... with a risk of (unintentionally) annoying you, I don't really understand this logic. Buying in short does indeed leave you with less to lose, but it also takes away some of the ev a good/great player like you will have on each hand. You have also already stipulated rules for maximum buyins to limit bankroll swings. My point is: buying in very short will probably make it harder to win the specified amount as it takes away tactics and strategies from your arsenal. Had your ultimate goal been to reach the next level your rea
  2. There is one thing in the rules though that strikes me as quite strange. When Daniel is approaching a new level, as he is right now, he is buying in for the amount needed to reach the new level. Why? And if he, say after the next session, is $1 short, or 45c or 6c, is he buying in for that amount then and just throws it in the pot as soon as possible? I'm just saying, why not keep playing poker and do that voodoo that ........ aso
  3. I'm in the group of computer people and can tell you that you are both right and wrong (as is so often the case =) A computer program only does what you tell it to do so it cannot in theory pick a completely random number, it has to compute it somehow. But in practice there are several means to achieve total randomness for the user. One simple way is to multiply the millisecond (or smaller still) a certain query has been made by a given number. Since any user, even one who knows the code, has no way of knowing when the machine starts counting or how long the delay is for the message to get to

  5. Exactly my point, if you want to win money why then 3-1 why not 5-2, 7-3 or 9-1? The line has to go somewhere and it is right at 2-1 ( the break even point ) so that is why it says 2-1. If the pot by some weird fluke would happen to provide you with exact odds, lets pretend it is exactly 2-1 here, you can do what the *** you want and end up with the exact same money in the long run.{So the calling reasoning above is inaccurate, as the chips in the pot are already accounted for.}
  6. I think you guys are correct in essentials, but there is a grey zone with furious early stage play like the play of good players like Tuan Lee and Gavin Smith for example
  7. I thought it was great last year with allthose different pros doing he commentary: DN, Flack, Hellmuth, E-Dog, Jen Harman etc
  8. I believe the maximum points you can get is 1920, same as last year.
  9. If it weren't for the fact that I want to be able to continue cheering for him, since he is the only interesting player left, I would gladly give you those odds. 4 to 1 isn't even that close despite the big stack.

(d**n it, got beaten to it )He has already taken 600k from him I think
  11. Are you guys kidding me??Phil Hellmuth would never call with only a draw!! (and he gets to be on ESPN anyway)
  12. "It's hard to overstate this, but he probably wanted this bracelet more than any man has ever wanted a piece of wrist jewelry in human history. "/ from Pokerwire Quite accurate I believe
  13. Have you seen the CP video interview, it's quite funny. "I let him steal like $120,000 from me and I knew what he was thinking. He was gonna put his money in with the worst hand just to have a shot to win. And I don't blame him cause, you know, it's against me, and you don't get that many shots to win against me" Gotta love him
  14. It's up! (at CP)And can you imagine?! Phil had a vision of himself winning the tourney the night before!!
  15. No but he is boring and but ugly. Phil on the other hand is ........... hmmm..... not boring anyway.
