  1. Nread closer... 100K in Casino chips - you need 1K casino chips to re-buy as the dealers won't take cash at the table - so he was just planning on re-buying a lot. .
  2. One thing I should add, this particular villain had shown the ability to flat a lot of raises and take flops. During the re-buy period he was doing it w/ any 2 cards in an effort to bust people. We were well past the re-buy period, but he had still flatted more raises than average. He seemed to mostly do it in position or from the blinds, so his flatting from UTG+2 was a little different, but he had been flatting a lot.My original take was Villain didn't give UTG pusher much credit either and thought he was ahead of him, but didn't want to risk more chips. At this stage shoving 5.5K was a
  3. Playing a small $$ re-buy tourney on Stars. First place money was roughly 6K. Tourney payed about 500 players, at this point I think there were approx. 600 left We had been playing approx. 2 hours 45 minutes. Average chips were around 17-18K, I had approx. 25K. Villian had me covered with approx. 30K.I had been playing pretty much perfect for 2 hours 45 minutes. I had been playing very tight, mostly chipping up w/out showing down too many hands, bluffing when it was right to bluff, folding when it was right to fold and V-betting when it was right to V-bet... Then this hand came up...Bli
  4. You always come off like a whiney ***** when you talk about yourself. You always talk about the "contributions" you've made, and say things like, I don't want to talk about myself, but I'm a pretty big shot around here. Please indulge us, explain WHY you're a bigshot. There are always going to Monday Morning Quarterbacks. If you're really such a bigshot, I'm sure you can deal with it.
  5. I understand the action, and like I said, I wasn't aware of other circumstances (i.e. you playing tight and RDW playing maniac). Obv. w/ the all the money in the pot you've commited yourself to call, but I still don't understand commiting yourself w/ bottom pr and a 5-high flush draw w/ the stack you had vs. the stack RDW had at that stage of the tourmament. Does any other re-raise from you achieve the same thing w/out commiting yourself? Like if you re-raised to 65 or 70K do you get away then??? I'm just askin' Also, does that re-raise look like you've got a much stronger hand than maki
  6. I totally disagree. At a different time, under different circumstances, yeah, sure he's got to go broke w/ this hand, but not on day 2 of the 2nd biggest tournament of the year w/ a top-10 chip stack, playing against a top player who has you covered. Much like you can't win one of these on the first day, you can't win it on the second either.Obv. I wasn't there, and I'm not aware of the intangibles like JC's table image, RDW's table image etc. etc. but there's no reason to risk all you chips (when you have PLENTY) on a hand where you're at best flipping a coin. You can try to make the argum
  7. From what I gather he's pretty tight, but does the whole act thing to foster an image that couldn't be farther from the truth. Also he seems to be an angle-shooter which really bothers me. I've heard more than a couple stories of him stretching the rules as far as they go. In summary, seems like a douchebag to me. Antonio, on the other hand, has really impressed me w/ his play on shows like HSP. I used to think he was a ****** too, but the more I've watched from him, the more gifted I think he is.
  8. Don't forget about Magnolia. He's basically been in every Paul Thomas Anderson and David Mamet film ever made.http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0419633/
  9. To paraphrase the trolls at 2+2 - With poker money I was ROBUSTO, but w/ bank money/credit card debt I was BUSTO.
  10. Was finally getting somewhere w/ my BR, but had to use nearly all of it to pay off a credit card bill... I understan it's bad to carry a balance, but you've got to have some money (in your BR) to make money right???
  11. I think you hit the nail on the head. The way I see it, people are going to draw whether you give them the price or not, so you may as well not. If I have top 2 on that board I'm not looking to play a big, multi-way pot. I'm looking to take it down right there, or give someone a terrible price to call w/ the draw. I'm willing to risk more pre-flop, but I just don't see the reward of playing risky after the flop. And trust me, I expose myself to plenty of beats, 'cause as I said, they're gonna draw on you anyway...
  12. You're giving 3 active players 5:1 on a draw-heavy board. I just can't possibly see the upside to this.
  13. You should have NOT bet on the flop with absolutely NO HAND. You've got a couple of overcards. Who knows if they are even live? Clear fold.
  14. If you DO NOT want to give players the pot-odds to draw on you, why are you giving them 5:1 on a coordinated board? Seems like a play w/ undue risk, and poor reward.
  15. Let's just ignore the :spade:s for a moment. The board is A3JHow happy are you w/ your $3 bet into a $12 pot when the 2 comes on the turn. Now are you happy you gave me the correct odds to call w/ my gutsot? By the way, I have 4 5 and I'm looking to break players who give me odds to call.
