Wonder whose first up for the gig with Al Michaels now that Madden has announced retirement today?My first guess would be Cris Collingsworth?

Suited is correct. He was on Sunday night, and it's already confirmed that Collinsworth is taking over.You guys are absolutely insane if you think Collinsworth is going to be better than Madden. Collinsworth is awful.You guys probably thought Howard Cossell sucked as well? Madden is great.

Madden was incoherent 90% of the time, but entertaining 100% of the time. I want to punch Collinsworth in the face 110% of the time.

John Madden and his use of the word penetration and man crush on Brett Favre will surely be missed. Hopefully we still will get the Ace Hardware and Tinactin commericals. BOOM!

I think Madden and Pat Summerall were a great team, maybe it's because I grew up listening to them but the last few years it seemed Madden did ramble alot. Playing the Madden video game so much probably just made me sick of his voice, IDK. Sure he was a good announcer, and definitely was entertaining with some of the stuff he said.

Jim Rome is no where near as a big of a name as Madden but Caliendo's impression of him is my favorite.

You guys are smoking sherm. Madden and Summerall were a hall of fame combo, but Madden circa 2008 was a ****ing zombie. Collingsworth is going to be infinitely better than madden's corpse, and I think is the most informative color commentator working right now. I don't understand all the hate for him at all, I think he's great.
