  1. I 100% agree with everything acid has said in this thread. First of all, showing a card definitely has a time and place and can completely change the result of a hand. If somebody is expereienced at knowing what their opponent will take out of the information he gives them, it can be very profitable. However, in this hand there is no reason to show the K because the hero is already committed and about to push in. The guy just did it bc he thought he had the best hand and wanted to get back at you for the hand b4. (Ill bet that if you would have check-folded, he would have acted like he had not
  2. It cant happen in no limit either....limit/no limit does not change how many cards come out. The answer to the question is in most games, no suit does not matter. A hand is decided by high card an dif the two hands are identical (except suit) they tie and the pot is split. There are certain games where suits matter such as when drawing for a high card, the "suits matter: rule can be on if both players agree. The order of suit rank is SPADES, HEARTS, DIAMONDS, CLUBS. (it is in resverse alphabetical order if you cant remember it). In casinos when they deal to see who gets the button or who gets
  3. I like to fold or limp preflop with this hand. However, with the way you played it I dont mind the continuation bet on the flop in case no one else has an ace. Since there are no draws, any hand worse than a piar of aces should fold. Once you were called on the flop, i would give the opponent credit for at least an ace. But, since you picked up a draw, you should have a lot of outs so if you think you can get him to fold, id go all in. Put the opponent to a decision for all his chips on the turn and make him fold, dont let him in for $6.If you still played it the way you did, id still push the
  4. Im dying to know what happened, post the result of the hand when u get the chance.
  5. i agree with the check-fold. Such a terrible turn card--ouch! But, id have to put him on the flush draw with a pair or with a straight draw. If he had a made hand on the flop, he would have put you in on the flop (set or straight, maybe even 2 pair).
  6. I bet $60 on the turn bc it was pretty obvious to me that the BB had hearts and i didn't want him drawing cheaply. I didn't really know what the MP player had and it was hard for me to think i was beat by him especially the way he played it since he called $20 with 3 outs. The pot was already big enough and i didn't want to risk getting drawn out on if it was possible.I really thought Kh10h was the only hand that could now have me beat, i didnt expect that player to call with only K10.
  7. MP ($167) - fairly tight, highly aggressive, usually respectable playSB ($250) - heroBB ($300+) - somewhat loose, aggressive, bad playerpreflop- MP limps for $2, hero limps in with AcJc for $1, BB checks flop- Ah Jh 5d hero checks, BB checks, MP bets $10, Hero raises to $30, BB calls, MP calls.turn- Qs hero bets $60, BB thinks for a while and folds, MP goes all in for $75 more, hero calls.MP has Ks-10c, river is a blank and MP takes the pot.my thinking during hand- preflop- i didn't want to raise out of position into a $5 pot, i think limping here is probably the best play. flo
  8. I think your opponent is going to read you for that flush if you raise and you are only going to get called on an all in if you are beat. A lower flush might even be layed down because after all what else would you be raising with (Its controversial whether or not to raise with a 10 high flush, so I dont think anyone is going to be raising with 2 pair or a set and hoping to get called). Your opponent still has plenty of chips left to fold the hand and play on if they read that they are beat. Calling is by far the best option.
  9. I would have to lean toward folding here......Why would he raise all in here unless he had you beat. He would almost certainly just call with 2 pair with the straight and backdoor flush out there. I would say he either flopped a straight (very likely) or missed his club flush, which I would think he would have been a little more aggressive with if he was planning on trying to buy it if he didnt hit. Its a hard play to make with no read on the player, but I think you are beat and I would fold. As far as how you played the hand up to this point I think you played it well, its tough to be out of
  10. 1. 18 and over poker is offered on many of the indian reservations around the US. I know of 18 and over casinos in Kansas, Minnesota, and Washington state for sure. 2. Sundrop-- no i didnt go to canterbury, I went to jackpot junction which is the southern most casino in minnesota (shortest drive for me), but everyone there talked about canterbury as if it was incredible. People were claiming they sat at tables with randy moss (when he was still on the vikings) and brad radke (pitcher for the twins). Must be a pretty big deal up there. Also to Mos Def- I had a friend who actually did go up to c
  11. Nah its not worth it because by the time anything got changed (if at all), I would be 21. I think getting a new, scannable id is the way to go.
  12. Both online and live have their advantages.... But anyway i dont see why 19 is too young to gamble.....are you kidding me? You can go to the military and fight for the country, You can vote.....In fact I actually voted on a casino issue in nebraska during the presidential election, but even if it would have passed i still would not have been able to use it, yet i would still be paying taxes to have the thing built, its all a joke as far as im concerned. I find that there is no immoral behavior in getting a fake id for the purpose of entering a casino.
  13. I am 19 and have casinos within a 1 hr drive of my house......the problem? Im 19. I play online but feel like i have such a larger edge playing in real life. I stay more focused and its easier to keep track of peoples playing styles. I have a fake id and used it for a while to play at the casinos until one time they decided to scan my id and what do you know...it didnt scan because it wasn't real. I have made a few trips up to minnesota (6-7 hour drive) to play in the over 18 casinos where they have pretty good games and tournaments. It just sucks that I can't get in to the casinos near here b
  14. Does this site offer anything other than just having a 3d view? it doesnt seem that they are as well rounded as many other sites out there.
