50-100 on party poker........if you're still awake

Recommended Posts

I'm in an interesting 50-100 hold em game on Party. Some pretty good players at the table. If you're awake, feel free to watch, and we can discuss.I have no idea how to copy hand histories, so I figured this might be a bit more educational.

What's to learn? I'd crush 50-100 if I had the bankroll :club: I wish I saw this thread earlier. I'm sure everyone here would benefit from discussing some hands from this game. Thanks steve, updates would really be appreciated.

Steve-You might have written about this before, but I missed it. How did the transition to online poker go? What limits did you start at, and how did you go up to 50-100 already? I thought you were starting slow and didn't have the bankroll for that kind of game online yet...Thanks.

steve, i'd be very interested to observe you in the future.as for the hand histories, you can review them and go through all your hands by opening up windows explorer (or my computer), and going to C:Program FilesParty PokerHand History or something like that. then click on your username folder, and the file you want has the date in the beginning and then the table number usually.feel free to post any interesting hands.aseem

If anyone wants, I can let them know when I'm at an interesting table in the future.
Absolutely ... I'm up early every day, I just missed your post this morning. Would love to rubberneck your play in the future.

I've played the game quite a few times now. Last night happened to be a table with a perfect mix of players and styles in my opinion. And that's what I wanted people to see. Some people were ridiculously loose, where others were squeeky tight. I've played the 100-200 as well. But in all honesty, it was a very difficult game. Incredibly aggressive and played much higher then the stakes would indicate. In fact, it felt like I was in a 200-400 or 300-600. Especially with the amount of money on the table, and the pots that were being developed. For the time being, that would not be my game of choice.Generally I have been playing 30-60. One of the things that I found quite interesting, is that my style of play changes from 30-60 to 50-100. It has nothing to do with the money. The limits and the games have a different feel about them. I can't stress enough the importance of changing gears. Because I'm constantly playing with different people online (especially at 30-60). I've learned a lot about how to deal with all different types of opponents. Ideally what I would like to do, is post a thread when I am going to play 30-60 for a period, and then switch to 50-100.

1. Are you multi-tabling?2. What site are you playing at? I only have Party software, but would get another to be able to watch you play. I 've wanted to watch higher limits for a while, but to be able to watch someone who I could ask subsequent questions would be fantastic.

I'm not multi-tabling. And god bless you guys who can, lol. The only time I mult-table is if I'm playing tournaments. I'm really only playing on Party right now. I should play a 30-60 session tonight. Possibly 50-100, depending on the table.

In due time my friend....It would be cool to let us know when you are playing this evening so we could check you out.

Why are there only 2 full ring 50-100 tables? It seems to be they are losing money since there's always a long waiting list. Also, they could open up 1-2 SH 50-100 tables. Seems kind of odd... almost suspicious to me... since it helps out colluders.

Ok... 3rd str8 post... Let's title this one: CONSPIRACY THEORY.1. After writing the last post I looked back at the tables and then it hit me. There are 6 players playing both tables. Ok... so what... 6 people are 2 tabling the 50/100. No big deal...2. Party Poker only allows 2 full ring 50/100 tables while there are over 20 people on the waiting list at both tables.3. The hand I just posted was badly played considering u have to be good to be playing the 50/100. The only thing the 4s could beat there was aq unless they button raiser was 3betting with garbage and bluffed the whole way through. This suggests the play was merely for show (this will happen when the colluders are sharing bankrolls. note: there are colluders who merely freeze the action and don't share br's).4. Party is taking a piece of the colluders. Why would they only allow 2 tables when its obvious that there should be more??? (20+ on each waiting list) It makes no sense for them to not be making more money. For those that don't know... by only allowing 2 tables, you allow the colluders to control the tables and the action (there is only one, well in this case "2", place for the fish/live ones to sit).5. There is a pack of cheaters controlling the 50/100 game. There are 20+ players on each waiting list, yet the same 6 are still sitting at both tables. Party doesn't open more tables. Some suspicious play.

egarim, you might be right that there are collusion teams on the party 50 or 100 game.but, your reasons are a little off.party only has two 50's and two 100's going for one simple reason: they don't want the fish to go broke so fast.this is the same reason they have no NL HE tables with no max buy-in, and it's the same reason there used to be only six 30 tables before they added a lot more 30 tables and introduced the 50 and 100 games.aseem

Unfortunately collusion does exist on most sites. Especially at the higher limits. Akishore was correct in his thinking of why they limit the number of tables. They don't want certain people to go broke. I've said before that I personally have been victim to collusion several times online. Or at least I thought so. But when you have been playing as long as I have, it becomes pretty obvious. Especially when people are capping it on every street and then folding on the river......a lot. Collusion is a much bigger problem online than in a b&m casino. Anywyay, enough about that. I feel like I have a pretty good grasp on the situation.I'm going to start my session tonight at around 11pm. It will be 30-60 limit hold em. Chances are it'll be a shorter session.
