MaxStPolish 4
One might say that I should check this turn. I'm debating that myself now. HU I'm not sure, wouldn't mind thoughts there. That said my "free lesson" is that my call on 5th street is AWFUL. I make 2nd nuts in a high only situation. Not only that, but villain flats my turn bet, he flats broadway straight here never. So I effectively am tied for nuts here. It was a missed big bet that would have been snap called and I was immediately disappointed in myself. That is all.PokerStars Game #47530499734: Omaha Hi/Lo Limit ($3/$6 USD) - 2010/07/31 14:44:50 CT [2010/07/31 15:44:50 ET]Table 'Teucer II' 10-max Seat #6 is the buttonSeat 1: mprook ($102 in chips) Seat 2: igthisone ($101 in chips) Seat 3: scumbag ($70 in chips) Seat 4: Sh!bumiG!rl ($23 in chips) Seat 5: bigdrive11 ($200 in chips) Seat 6: MaxStPolish ($139 in chips) Seat 7: Jennifer ($88 in chips) Seat 8: JCEmmons ($150 in chips) Seat 9: donkslayer2 ($86.50 in chips) Seat 10: FL-Hunter ($342.50 in chips) Jennifer: posts small blind $1JCEmmons: posts big blind $3*** HOLE CARDS ***Dealt to MaxStPolish [As 2c 8s Jh]donkslayer2: folds FL-Hunter: folds mprook: calls $3igthisone: calls $3scumbag: folds Sh!bumiG!rl: folds bigdrive11: folds MaxStPolish: raises $3 to $6Jennifer: calls $5JCEmmons: calls $3mprook: calls $3igthisone: calls $3*** FLOP *** [2s Ts Qc]Jennifer: checks JCEmmons: checks mprook: checks igthisone: checks MaxStPolish: bets $3Jennifer: folds JCEmmons: folds mprook: calls $3igthisone: folds *** TURN *** [2s Ts Qc] [Ah]mprook: checks MaxStPolish: bets $6mprook: calls $6*** RIVER *** [2s Ts Qc Ah] [9d]mprook: bets $6MaxStPolish: calls $6*** SHOW DOWN ***mprook: shows [Kd 9s Kc 9h] (HI: three of a kind, Nines)MaxStPolish: shows [As 2c 8s Jh] (HI: a straight, Eight to Queen)MaxStPolish collected $58 from potNo low hand qualified*** SUMMARY ***Total pot $60 | Rake $2 Board [2s Ts Qc Ah 9d]Seat 1: mprook showed [Kd 9s Kc 9h] and lost with HI: three of a kind, NinesSeat 2: igthisone folded on the FlopSeat 3: scumbag folded before Flop (didn't bet)Seat 4: Sh!bumiG!rl folded before Flop (didn't bet)Seat 5: bigdrive11 folded before Flop (didn't bet)Seat 6: MaxStPolish (button) showed [As 2c 8s Jh] and won ($58) with HI: a straight, Eight to QueenSeat 7: Jennifer (small blind) folded on the FlopSeat 8: JCEmmons (big blind) folded on the FlopSeat 9: donkslayer2 folded before Flop (didn't bet)Seat 10: FL-Hunter folded before Flop (didn't bet)

rrumsey 0
calling pre has merit, and raising has merit. kinda depends on how stationish the players ahead of you are. and i think you could have gone for thin value on the end due to the fact that nothing that is beating you would have check called the turn imo* dont check the turn imo. decent barrel card and we still have a lot of equity, didnt read your title till after so glad we are on the same page! bassplayer45459 0
I think a leak in my game is that i would have just called with this hand because i personally dont see it as having alot of scooping potential, but like i said, i think it is a leak in my game. You have to continuation bet on the flop, i agree with you there. You are really only getting raised by K J on the turn unless someone spiked an A Q or A A to hit top two or a set, even then they may just call because they fear you have A A. I agree with the river play though, part of me would think he might have slept on a K J here, or has the same hand, but either play is good.
