Lead for about 20? Your still ahead of a bunch of weaker hands (8s-Js, A7suited, AK? all of which I can see calling this flop), if he plays back at you you can be pretty certain your behind. The other possible line is to keep the pot small, check and try to guage information from his bet however this is a green light to take the pot from you.

I don't really see what we are worried about here. We are way ahead of his range. Only 2 hands I'd worry about are 55 and 56 sooted.Lead the turn for $20ish
77,66 and 44 seem reasonable holdings for villain too, no?

Not worried about anything. What value does a bet have most of the time here?

We'll if your not scared of anything he could have then I still say check raise, unless you check big hands alot checking would seem to say your scared of the straight, and then he will have a very good reason to bet at it...

Then I thought to myself, what am I scared of?I can't imagine much of a range with a 5 in it for this villain. I mean, 55, A5s are possible, but I imagine those are tiny parts of his range. Also, 44, 66, 77 are possible as well, but the combos of those are pretty few, relatively. The villain was 22.22/11.11/3.5 after 126 hands, fwiw.I thought of a while on the turn on what the best play would be, and I figured a raise would pretty much force a worse hand out, while getting pushed by a better hand, aka set or straight. Also, my call gives him effective drawing odds of 3-1 if he is behind, which is still a losing play if he has a 5 outer, or 2 outer, etc. Even an oesd, ie 89, is losing money on this bet, which means that I'm not allowing worse hands to draw out.On the river, that card puts me ahead of all sets, two pairs, etc, but still behind a straight. What is my play here? Button has $77 left, I have him way covered.I'll explain my thinking on that one in a little bit.- Zach

Edit: I need to learn how to read.I bet $50 and hope he pushes the rest in. I agree it seem less likely he has a straight here.

That river doesn't put you ahead of any sets now....it fills them up.I check call more often than not on this board....I think if you bet he raises and then what do you beat?
I bet exactly the villians stack size. I think it is much more likely he has a set than a straight.
