Obviously the outcome didn't end in my favor but there are a ton of factors that I now am starting to realize that I donked on.1) I only had 8 hands on the OP out of the 170ish that I was at the table.2) The only hands I can now see me beating are TT, A9, and 76. This conclusion is sticking in my head more since it went. My preflop raise, call, and call. Lead bet into me. I raise which is the obvious play but then a small raise back to me. This at the time is what confused me. I am able to scratch off the list of hands he has 76 because I think he would have been more aggressive with his reraise with his stack size if he did have 76.The more I think about hands like these my OP usually has 2 pair or a small set. I just started doing interweb things of course and just got lost in my own thought process and just humped all-in.My OP had pocket 4's.What would you have done different? I think all I would have needed to do differently is make my raise to $20 instead of $13 and it would have made a huge difference in my play.

50/50 it's either the case or it isn'tSeriously though OP, your thought process seems pretty spot on here. I'd even take A9 out of his range here sometimes (and maybe TT). But I would add some diamond draws too. You can maybe add some mediocre hands to his range because his stack size is only 88bbs and most competent players have auto-reload on. But like you surmise, your jacks aren't going to be in great shape most of the time here, and at worst he probably has at least 30% equity against you. That said once you raise to $20 and he shoves you're getting a very decent price when you consider the number of straight and flush draws in his range.

Yeah I agree. Diamond draw is most likely all I am beating after he reraises me. If I made it $20 like I should have I think I can fold the hand. There would have been $50 in the pot and he would have had $61 to push over the top. Giving me what odds? Like .8/1? or is it 1.8/1?I am terrible at the math still and need a handful of help on that.

You would be calling $61 in a pot of $111 so it would be 1.8:1 so you'd need about 35% equity against his range for a call to be okay at that stage.
