~Poker~ 0 Posted June 23, 2009 Share Posted June 23, 2009 I've been playing poker since 2005, mostly NL Holdem and have been running very bad since Nov 4/2008. I'm no superstar by any imagination, but I have never had a losing year (This could be the first). On average I make about $1000 a year online playing a mix of .10/.25, .50/1.00 and small buy-in sit and go's. I also play some live poker ($1/$2 cash game) averaging about $500 profit a year (casino is far so I don't go much). Like I said I have been running very bad since Nov 4/2008, I feel like I've lost every coin flip since then, and that everyone is catching everything they are chasing except for me. I've tried playing aggressive, then tight, then like a donkey and nothing seems to work, it doesn't seem to matter if I'm playing on line or at the casino I just can't seem to win. The thing that is really killing me is I get all my money in ith the best hand 95% of the time and lose 9 times out of 10 even thow I'm an 80% favorite to win the hand.I'm basically looking for some advise or would like to know if anyone else has run this bad for this long. Is it really possible to run this bad for this long? or has this bad run just cause me to change my game and now I'm an ATM and don't even realize it. I keep good records on my bankroll and have lost over $500 since Nov, my graph looks like an olympic ski hill. I'm not sure if I'm now beyond help, but and comments or advise would help..............be mean if you have too, give it to me straight.Thanks Link to post Share on other sites

Can't really tell if you are doing something wrong, yet can't tell you anything to improve your game.What kind of answer do you really expect posting ''i run bad, anyone can help me?'' In fact, it is probable to run that bad for even longer.That is why two words are crucial to survival if you want to make money "in the long run" in poker. BANKROLL MANAGEMENTIt is no secret that I'm a micro stakes player who plays for fun. But I know enough about poker and statistics to know that anyone who expects to be a long run winner had better be prepared for some serious swings.BTW........ as far as statistics go........
