  1. What he means is, when you actually hit the flop, check-raise as opposed to betting right out. After a few instances of this, people will be less likely to bet into you on a ragged flop, for fear of being check-raised, when they hold a weak hand.
  2. CHeck their forums. I recall reading about this, it may have been there. I think you just need to contact them, they will give you a new registration code.
  3. Pushing here, good.Calling here, bad.Anybody consider how long it has been 3-handed? If there has been much blind stealing going on, What the standard opening raise has been...?A lot of argument for a very situational fact set.JMHO.

  5. A PF raise probably gets called. But it shows strength and, may convince him to fold his gutshot on the flop, when the A hits.
  6. I say, fold. Any hand better than yours is going to call. You still have a little time to catch a stronger hand. Of course, there is not nearly enough info to make a great decision, here. The other stack sizes are relavent. With $8,000 in play, we know where ~$3500 lies, how is the other $5500 split. Is their an obvious chip leader? If so, that would imply that their are others in as bad or worse shape than we are.
  7. SQRT {B}*(TN)/R SQRT= Square root B= Buy-In of a tournament TN=Total Number Of players in a tournament R=player's Rank in a Tournament. I think a reasonable modification to the formula to account for the rebuys would be:SQRT {ΣB/TN}*(TN)/R ΣB= Sum of all buy-ins (Total Prize Pool)
  8. I believe that you will find that Jones advocates Tight Aggressive play; where Miller is more Loose Agressive. I do not think either is right all of the time. A good mixture based on the given table dynamic is best.
  9. Position is critical. The difference between limits is being able to place a player on a hand considering his actions and his position. At LL, you make your decisions based on your position and use other information to get a read.b.t.w. at higher limits, I imagine that players mix things up enough that it may be tough to determine their hand by their action/position, anyway. My 2 cents.
  10. Absolutely fine. It is your money, sit down, leave whenever you want. Take the money go sit at a new table, leave your winnings in the bank. This way, you can get up before you lose it all back.Whatever you are comfortable having on the table. Keep in mind that in NL, you need enough to get paid big, if you flop a monster.
  11. Seriously, Daniel, if you are still flying commercial you should consider. If not your own jet, look into "fractional ownership". With all of your trips, you should be flying private. The time savings alone would be worth it.
  12. Did you see his signature line? Do you know what the WCOOP is?
  13. K9 suited, with the information you had on the guy is probably not the best hand to try to steal with. As far as the play on the flop, his T1200 bet is a feeler, he connected with something, by calling his bet, you tell him absolutely nothing. He does not know if you have an over pair, TPTK, flush draw, whatever. Take the cheap turn card and decide what to do based on his action. Look for weakness in his action on the turn. Why risk you entire tournament on a draw, that is not to the nuts, b.t.w.
  14. Being we do not know what he has, we have to discount your outs to something less than 15. For instance, if he has JTs, any one of your Qs make his straight. If he has 67c the 9 or 4 gives him a straight flush, with him already having a straight, which counterfeits your Aces as outs. Some of these possible holdings may not be likely but, you do have to discount for them, somewhat. Given that, lets say we figure you to have 12 outs. You no longer have odds to call. The play worked and you moved up. In a MTT, I feel you need to pick your battles, I think this one was a fold. You are not
