Mike "The Mouth" MatusowTotal Tournament Earnings: 24th all time, $3,399,329.What you guys think? He's the hottest poker player in the world right now. Any chance of a Matusow profile? From what I believe he's good friends with DN.

He is the best example of what is wrong with poker. People see him act that way and they want to immulate him. We still live in a society where respect for others is important.I was playing in a $5-$10 NL at the Wynn last month and this kid (could'nt have been a day older than 22) goes over the top of my $50 raise with an all in $750. I have AA so of course I call. He turns over A-9 off. He ends up a 9 high straight and starts taunting me and yelling "That's what you get when you F#@$ with the man." I see this kinda stuff all the time and it makes me sick. There are a few guys out there who show lots of class and others should learn from them. Daniel, Greg Raymer, Phil Ivey, Doyle, Ted Forrest, Johnny Chan, and Carlos Mortenson are just a few of the guys who show class at the table. Maybe Matusow should learn from them.P.S. I got my money back from that guy plus another $1500. I was tempted to do the wave in his face, but that would'nt have been classy.

I'll agree with that, but there are definately more players worse than him(i.e. Hellmuth)

matasow showed a lot to me this year at the wsop, he def. out played a lot of people. I was waiting for the "mike matasow blow up" but i'm not sure if it didn't come because he was more focused or because phil gordon was right behind him calming him down when the tattoo parlor guy was mouthing off to him....any one feel that...besides that, he still played great. I'm not saying he did good because of phil gordon but i think phil helped calm mike down in certain aspects of his game...

I do think Matusow is a great NL tournament player, however, I watched him play a few heads up limit games on Full Tilt and wasn't very impressed. While Matusow's antics make for great TV, and I do believe that he is a good guy overall, I will admit that IMO his personality is bad for the game. Matusow and Hellmuth stand as shining examples of terrible manners and edicate, and as much as some would say otherwise, their antics on TV rub off on viewers. Trash talking and bad manners at the poker table have always been around, but now they are at an all time high. The rise of internet poker has made it easier to talk tough while sitting safely behind a computer screen. I'd just like to see poker pros get more in line with the way people like Negreanu, Ivey, Mortensen, and even Raymer play and how they carry themselves. They all carry themselves like champions, while the rest only make themselves look like spoiled little kids.
