    Ppl

I just looked at the rosters for the PPL and I noticed one big name missing. Where is Allen Cunningham?
  2. I've heard of spirit rock and I saw erik123 on fulltilt last night chatting wtih Phil Ivey in a game. I'm just curious, are these two players mostly internet players? Why are they known by their alias more than their real name? To me, it's pretty surprising that Daniel posted a poll about this. These two guys must be pretty big for all the big names in poker to know who they are.
  3. Anyone here read Daniel's newest blog entry? There are many blanks and a lot of them can be filled in with "alcohol" or "drinking"...I'm a big fan of Daniel's, but I'm just pointing out the facts.
  4. 106 meters. I'd like to see someone beat that score! Took me roughly 15 tries only!
  5. Partypoker name is Sharkbate18, I play 15/30 and $200 SnG's. Been in a strut recently though...probably gonna take a month off or something.
  6. Thanks for the response guys. Earlier today, I raised an UTG limper with KQos, the table folded around to him who reraised me the minimum amount. The flop came K Q J and I given the flop and given my cards, I decided his most likely holding would be AA or JJ. Turns out he was limping with Jacks He checked to me and I put him all-in and he called after thinking for a few seconds. The turn and river brought no help and that was it for me.I was kinda angry because I had a suspicion that he was trying to slowplay something. Thanks for the help once again guys!
  7. Here's a common MTT situation I run across almost every tournament I play. I'm still not quite sure what the correct move is but I'm hoping someone here can help me out! This situation is specific toward the middle of a tournament when blinds are 150/300 and the average stack is roughly 2500-3000. A lot of the bad players have already been eliminated and people are looking to double up or set traps. Given no previous information on UTG or UTG+1, what would you do if this occured?UTG/UTG+1 limps, you hold AK. Your move?UTG/UTG+1 limps, you hold KQ. Your move?UTG/UTG+1 limps, you hold KJ. Your mo
  8. Yesterday I was playing some friendly 4/8 hold'em at a nearby casino when the following hand came up. I'm not quite sure I played it correctly so I would like some input as to how you guys would play it.I was sitting in UTG+1 with T 9 , a great hand in a not so great position. However, the game I was playing in could not have been any better. There were 3 players who were playing no fold'em hold'em and two other players who have never played poker before. There was rarely a pot that was less than six handed. The only person I recognized at my table was another solid regular. In this particul
  9. I personally am not a fan of bonuses. I know it sounds stupid, but I swear everytime I deposit money on PartyPoker for the monthly bonus, I got on a bad stretch. I get great cards and bad flops, or great cards and great flops with bad turn/river. This trend has been going on for a few months now...don't really know what to think of it but yeah, I'm not a big fan of bonuses.
  10. I've been down 120 BB in one day before. It wasn't a good day to say the least. I can only blame the cards for 50% of that though. The other 50% of my losses were from bad choices I made (I was watching TV and talking to friends while playing which is really not a good habit). After about 60 BB, I started playing ridiculous holdings like K4 suited. I don't know what was going on but that is about as bad as I've had it.
  11. I think both are profitable. When you play multiple tables, you will need to drop down in stakes by one or two levels just so you have that extra advantage. Since you don't have as much concentration breaking tables down and noticing all the tendencies of players, you will have to compensate somehow. For example, someone could play 10/20 and be a solid player by breaking down the table and players. However, he could also drop down to 3/6 and play four tables at a time. His general theory would be superior to those at 3/6 (assuming he's solid at 10/20) therefore allowing him to pull down maybe
  12. The three main characters all suck at poker. Everytime they're shown with the nuts. Who the hell wouldn't call with the nuts? They always show them winning. This simply cannot be true...nobody always wins. Nobody always has the nuts either.
  13. somewhere on this forum, Daniel has publicly stated that not all professionals get along. He mentioned Annie and said "if you know what I mean  "
  14. If you could choose between these two poker super powers, which one would it be (and rationalize why): see through opponents cards or see the flop/turn/river preflop. At first, when I thought of this question, I figured it was no contest. Of course I'd rather see my opponents cards! I can call their bluff and eat them when they're weak. However, then I figured I can read most opponents pretty well already. If I could see the flop with lets say pocket jacks or 87s and I know I'd hit a set/straight/flush, I'll call anything! I wouldn't be so scared of aces anymore or AK when I have AQ. I would ne
  15. Daniel,How do I retrieve my bonus on PokerMountain? I still have 9 raked hands to go but I'm curious if the money just automatically gets put into your account or is there some process you have to go through to retrieve it? Thanks.-Brett
