Zach6668 513
I can’t wait to see the updated standings! Crushing win against the Whalers last night.
Zach6668 513
I notice the standings don't have a "tie" column. Wayne and I tied on Monday, December 11... (we had exactly zero points scored, and our goalies both gave up 2). So, how does that work?

FCP Bob 1,311
on Dec 11th Shortstackers and Ingmen both sucked and neither scored and both game up 2 goals. The final tie breaker is a coin flip and Zach called heads while Tony B flipped tails so Ingmen get the win.
Zach6668 513
I would have felt pretty silly if I won the division or even league by 1 point.

FCP Bob 1,311
Big Ms vs Shortstackers on Tuesday. Big one! every game is a big one for Big M's, Shortstackers and Whalers. We have no margin for error. Finish 1st and get a bye and probably 1st seed Finish 2nd and probably play Shooters or Broadway in 1st round and Swackers in 2nd round Finish 3rd and probably play Dealers and their playoff optimized roster in the 1st round and if lucky enough to get by them get whoever wins our division in the 2nd round. Zach6668 513
Hey Bob, Can you switch Nic Dowd to Vancouver? I also noticed Scott Wilson (Steelheads) hasn’t been updated to Buffalo. Thank you.
DanielNegreanu 141
I'm not sure that we're really saying the same thing, I think you're complicating it. My suggestion is to simply designate a player as a Toews Rule player which puts them in limbo along with the automatic Toews Rule players where they don't count as one of your 20 farm players, they don't count as one of your 23 skaters at the auction and they don't count against the money you have available at the auction to sign your team. To me what you are describing is that they are part of the 23 skaters but their salary doesn't count which is different. No, what you described is exactly what I'm saying. Just didn't see the need to call them a Toews rule player but that's fine.
DanielNegreanu 141
I think we need to be specific on the timelines. - everyone must have 23 players and 3 goalies when the auction is completed. - after the auction Toews Rule players must be called up - after Toews Rule players are called up then other players may be called up - then pickups can be made - your active roster + reserves cannot have more than 28 players TOTAL I would suggest the farm limit of 20 not apply until the draft/auction is complete. This means players must either be called up or dropped to get to 20 players or less. I would also suggest that any players dropped to comply with the farm limit be eligible to be picked up by other teams as long as the criteria is met. This sounds good. I lost all the rules page info, it's in that CVS file but we need to recreate a rules page and add in this.
Underdog 10
Only thing I don’t agree with on that post of dales is him mentioning farm doesn’t need to be at 20 until after draft. It should remain no more then 20 before draft. Like the way the rule is now. Drop players should be available to bid on if they can be.

DanielNegreanu 141
HAHAHA the Dick Cheese division! I think this new format is going to be really fun going forward and every game will be meaningful with an NFL like 16 game season. Division winner goes up one division, while the bottom team in each division is relegated. This will create some long term rivalries since most of the divisions won't have a ton of movement overall. I'm also going to make a slight change to the scoring format. OT player will still count, but will be eliminating the OT Loss point that if awarded. So its going to be either a Win, Loss, or a Tie.
