  1. i restarted and now can't get back on too. my guess is if you were in befor the problems you could stay in, but the network problems are probably affecting the log in too. better to take a couple hours or a night off even if you get in, i played in a private tourny befor i logged off, just after the problems, and my winnings weren't credited to my bankroll, i'll wait to see if they come up when i log in since i know they're nuts right now at the site. the admin's said if you email support with the ammount you bought in if you couldn't play cuz of this, they'll credit you back.
  2. good topic. i think if you are going to raise it should be enough to push complete trash, so like 4 x's the blind. but, i think you are severely mistaken to think out of that many players in a pot that you have the best starting hand, i think at best you're a coin flip, because almost certainly someone has low to mid pocket pair out of that many callers (unless you really are sitting with ALL comeplete donks, but even then out of that many callers chances are someone is starting with a pair) and more than likely if it's limit one of those is very likely waiting to get a raise in so they can re
  3. gotta thank ya for throwing my Grandfather's movie Manos. he wrote, directed, and starred (the Dad) in it. it definately is one of the worst movies ever (a few people even ended up killing them selves after the release, the guy that played Torgo because he wore these prosthetic knees backwards through the whole film which slowly broke his legs, he never recovered from it, the others supposedly because after making that movie thier careers were over). the whole thing was kind of made on a bet, he didn't think it really required much skill to make a movie, just some boobs and danger. if he had
  4. i'm hardly on the casino's side for making more money, but i do understand thier business. casino's already have a love/hate relationship with poker, as is it's the least profitable game for the house whether its a rake or rate format, which is why a lot of casino's don't include poker when they can legally. the point of having a poker room at all is to draw poker players to the casino under the assumption that they will also drop some money in slots or some tables along the way. while there's certainly been a decline this year, i don't think it's been enough to run tables on a slight loss rat
  5. Thanks actuary.sorry i freak ya out (that's me in the avatar pic, i fell asleep sitting like that a couple weeks ago, it just amused me, probably doesn't translate well to tiny scale).PSU, i heard the same thing about Charlestown adding poker. i heard it back in May i believe and that they were in the process then of hiring dealers, but i'm thinking it might of fallen through, because there's been no word about any new developments for a while. as for the whole embarassment factor of online players not knowing betting structure and such, i really don't see that as a problem. the first time i w
  6. From what I'm noticing, it's been a strange year. I'm mostly in Atlantic City and occasionally Foxwoods. Foxwoods I haven't seen a lul, but I doubt you will there no matter what the state of poker is. AC is a whole 'nother story. This year since Spring it's been a lot slower. WSOP time a lot of the pro's are out in Vegas, so there's quite a few faces missing, but usually that also gets the guys hearing about it excited and at the tables This year the turn out wasn't as large as usual for sure. Longest I waited for a table this summer at the Borgata was maybe 5 min (2 days befor they moved to t
