Offsuit 0
So I've heard that it is illegal to play for money (outside of a casino) in Missouri, where I live. Does anyone know what the laws are exactly or where I can find them online--pertaining to MO specifically?? I want to make sure that I don't run the risk of getting in trouble just cause I want to play a card game at home.
Cygnus 0
Do the cops there go door-to-door looking for illegal poker games?Maybe it's just a 'california thing', but if a cop ever comes to my house with a complaint about something done in the privacy of my own home that does not disturb the peace or neighbors....I'm moving to a less oppresive country....Like Libia or something.Shuffle-up and deal dude, it's still America. Offsuit 0
no, they don't waste their time. I just was reading some posts about guys that make their money hosting games, seems to me that the bigger those games get and the more people find out about them, the bigger risk you run. FrankB 0
Playing poker for money in your own home is perfectly legal so long as the only money made by a given person is the money on the table. It's only illegal if you are taking a rake or charging a fee for the seat for example. As long as the only money being made, is made by the cards in your hand, it's fine.shuffle up and deal
