The book of Daniel prophesied the next 4 world powers, From Babylon, to the Medo-Persians to the Greeks under Alexander, to the splitting of them into 4 smaller ones to the Romans, describing them in a manner that is pretty awesome. The only way this can be discounted by secular scholars is to date Daniel much much later, but archeological discoveries show that the writer of Daniel had knowledge of the make up of the Babylonian capital and their customs in a manner not possible to the people of later days. Also in Daniel is the prophecy that there would be 69 'weeks' from the declaration to rebuild the Temple until the coming of Messiah. The weeks here mean 7 years. Given the 360 day calender of the time, this would make the time from the rebuilding till the Messiah to be 476 years as described by our calender. The decree to rebuild was given in 444BC by King Artaxerxes, 476 years later was 33 AD, the time Christ returned to Jerusalem and was crucified for the sins of the world. ( year zero comes into play to get exact year)The city of Tyre was prophesied to be not only destroyed, but every stone removed from the city in Ezekiel 26:4 , and it would never be rebuilt. The city was destroyed by someone, and the survivors relocated to an island for Tyre 2.When Alexander the Great came to destroy Tyre2, he took all the stones from the old city and threw them into the sea to build a causeway that allowed his army to march and destroy Tyre1. It has not been rebuilt. The stones still lay in the water. There are more, but these are what comes to mind quickly.Clarence Larkin drew same crazy cool chartsof the prophecies of Daniel that were pretty cool
Frankly, none of that is even the slightest bit impressive. Basically they are ancient predictions which were fulfilled in ancient times. Nostrodamus' predictions are much more impressive, and even those are obvious BS. Don't you think that Buddhists, Muslims, Hindus, etc have similar ancient prophecies which have similarly been fulfilled throughout the ages?

That is smart if you want to remain an atheist.Because if you don't continually redefine words at will to meet your bias, you will become trapped by the truth. And here truth means truth.A prophecy that tells the year the Messiah will appear is found to be accurate 476 years later ( or 12.5 generations by RT ) and you discount it because it would require you to spend too much time trying to 'prove' that the book of Daniel was written after 33 AD so they could fool us with this prophecy.
Of course I don't believe this. The Book of Daniel is older than 33 AD. Is this the decree that starts the clock?

King Artaxerxes' Letter to Ezra 11 This is a copy of the letter King Artaxerxes had given to Ezra the priest and teacher, a man learned in matters concerning the commands and decrees of the LORD for Israel: 12 [a] Artaxerxes, king of kings, To Ezra the priest, a teacher of the Law of the God of heaven: Greetings. 13 Now I decree that any of the Israelites in my kingdom, including priests and Levites, who wish to go to Jerusalem with you, may go. 14 You are sent by the king and his seven advisers to inquire about Judah and Jerusalem with regard to the Law of your God, which is in your hand. 15 Moreover, you are to take with you the silver and gold that the king and his advisers have freely given to the God of Israel, whose dwelling is in Jerusalem, 16 together with all the silver and gold you may obtain from the province of Babylon, as well as the freewill offerings of the people and priests for the temple of their God in Jerusalem. 17 With this money be sure to buy bulls, rams and male lambs, together with their grain offerings and drink offerings, and sacrifice them on the altar of the temple of your God in Jerusalem. 18 You and your brother Jews may then do whatever seems best with the rest of the silver and gold, in accordance with the will of your God. 19 Deliver to the God of Jerusalem all the articles entrusted to you for worship in the temple of your God. 20 And anything else needed for the temple of your God that you may have occasion to supply, you may provide from the royal treasury. 21 Now I, King Artaxerxes, order all the treasurers of Trans-Euphrates to provide with diligence whatever Ezra the priest, a teacher of the Law of the God of heaven, may ask of you- 22 up to a hundred talents [b] of silver, a hundred cors [c] of wheat, a hundred baths [d] of wine, a hundred baths [e] of olive oil, and salt without limit. 23 Whatever the God of heaven has prescribed, let it be done with diligence for the temple of the God of heaven. Why should there be wrath against the realm of the king and of his sons? 24 You are also to know that you have no authority to impose taxes, tribute or duty on any of the priests, Levites, singers, gatekeepers, temple servants or other workers at this house of God. 25 And you, Ezra, in accordance with the wisdom of your God, which you possess, appoint magistrates and judges to administer justice to all the people of Trans-Euphrates—all who know the laws of your God. And you are to teach any who do not know them. 26 Whoever does not obey the law of your God and the law of the king must surely be punished by death, banishment, confiscation of property, or imprisonment.

The dead sea scrolls were "accidentally" found just about the same time that science was overtaking religion around 1950.
What? When Doc first envisioned the flux capacitor?

They were written in 100BC, and were exact copies of the Bible we have today, which in itself is incredible.
The Dead Sea Scrolls certainly argue for good fidelity over time, but you're overstating a little bit here. The copies of the books even among the Dead Seas scrolls aren't all exact.

To recap, the Book of Daniel predicts an interval between two events. Among people who believe this prophesy to have been fulfilled, there is debate on:
  • What historical event was the first event.
  • How long the interval was.
  • What historical event was the second event.

If everybody is thinking the same thing, then somebody isn't thinking.
