Fantasy Problem

So I am the Commisioner in a fantasy league with 7 of my friends. The Buyin was $100, and it is a head-to-head league. The Payout is like this:$600 goes to the team 1st place in standings, and $200 goes to the championship winner. (I didn't like this idea, but the majority liked it.)Anywho, we have a rule in our league that you can only have 30 guys play per week. So as of now it has been fine,until today someone in the league said he has gone over 30 almost every week(I only check the guys that are playing against me). Lo and Behold, hes had over 30 almost every week. So I am furious about this, as he has been flat out cheating. I am in first place,and he is a game behind me. What should his punishment be? As of now, his team is just locked and benched for the rest of this week and the whole next week. Is this a fair enough punishment? Too harsh? He says he wants his money back if i lock his team.

any week he had more than 30 players and won, change that to a loss no matter the score. give the win to the player who did not cheat. adjust the standings accordingly. it's the only way to make it fair for the other teams in the league.dont lock his team just let him play this week with 30 players. if he has more, then let him adjust the roster. locking his team only gives advantage to whomever he plays those two weeks. this is a bad punishment, esp since YOU play him this week.dont give him back his $. he cheated or at best made a mistake. everyone else was clear on the rules. he wont be happy no matter what you do

If he already gave you the $, Keith's solution seems fair to me. If not, then have fun trying to get the $ from that douchebag.

Thanks. THe problem with changing the scores is that its already done and for some reason, in the beginning of the year we made a rule that the final score can't be changed. He knew he was cheating, and knew just about all the rules in the league, as he was obsessed with it. Another reason this pissed me off is that he accused me of cheating last week by hacking into someones account and benching T-mac for the weak.(which I didn't do).Also, we are pretty much the only 2 teams in contention,as 3rd place is 14 games behind me, so no one else cares that much(except 6th place for some reason). And it turns out, all of my friends are ****in cheaters, as just baot every other team went over 30 at least twice.(I've never done it)Oh,and I never said I was playing him next week. I play him in around 3 weeks.(the last regular season week)

just give everyone their money and call it a wash. or adjust the records so that anyone who played over 30 players in a week gets a loss (even if this means 2 teams get a loss in one game)

Heh. It turns out like half the league was going over 30 the whole time. And I am still in first. What a joke. Since everyone thought my original punishment was too harsh(they didn't seem to realize that he was cheating), I just locked his teams from pickups for the rest of the year. And if he wins, I get my money back. Being Commisioner is a pain in the ass. Everyone is always complaining to me over the most minor things. This is the last time I ever do a fantasy league.
