Will Ferrell doing pre-game introductions."Will Ferrell did the player introductions in New Orleans, claiming Carlos Boozer still lives with his mother, Luol Deng collects rare birds, Ronnie Brewer ate 20 hot dogs in an hour, and D-Rose's favorite movie is "The Notebook." For the Hornets, he said Emeka Okafor minored in love in college, Marco Bellinelli hates Italian food, and that Jarrett Jack dreams of becoming a rodeo clown after basketball."
The best part is that it was 80's night...So they get Will Ferrell dressed in regular clothes.

Pau was clutch last night.I thought that 30 footer by Pietrus at the end of regulation was going in.When Kobe is creating shots for other players, he's getting them wide open looks. I'd like to see him stop taking so many long distance fade away jumpers. What was the deal with the between the legs stuff after the opening tip?Bynum is big.The drop off from the Lakers big three to everyone else on the team is pretty amazing.Posted Image

87-88 in overtime. How does a game go to over time and still go under?

That's what happens when the average age on the court is 37.

Both teams are ranked in the 20s for points scored and top 5 in points allowed.

That Lin guy is pretty impressive. Also, how bad is the rest of the Lakers team that Ron Artest (yes I will still call him that) and Derek Fisher are still starting?

Jeremy Lin's not that good. This is equivalent to a guy in baseball getting called up and hitting .400 for a week and a half.

He's clearly at least a quality rotation player though and that's light years ahead of where he was 10 days ago.I'd like to see the Knicks offer Melo to New Jersey for Deron and a 1st round pick in 2013. NJ gets a superstar to go to brooklyn with, NY re-vamps a roster that will NEVER work with Amare and Melo together. Knicks can play D'Antoni ball with Deron/Lin/Fields/Amare/Chandler and it will be so entertaining. One more fake trade: Collison, Granger and Hibbert and Indiana's first rounder in 2012 for Dwight Howard, Quentin Richardson and Jameer Nelson. Orlando hits the reset button with three good young players and an extra pick in a great draft. Indiana gets to make a run at contending with Nelson/Q/George/West/Dwight and Psycho T/Hill off the bench. Indiana would worship Dwight for coming and Peyton Manning proved you can be a big media deal playing in Indy.

I feel like that's premature, but I do have to say that when I watch him play he kind of just makes me think of a really good amateur you'd see at a playground, not someone who could actually dominate in the NBA. Then again, I'd say the same thing about a Steve Nash...yeah, it's probably a race thing.

How did I know I'd see this here? The true shocker is that it's not some random dude on twitter. This is after someone's written an article, taken the time to think of a "catchy" headline and then gets signed off by an editor before it goes live. The world with think much worse of this than Jeremy Lin (who I imagine has heard about everything) but it's truly amazing to think a professional writer for a global sports media source could make such an obvious mess.Wonder how long it will be until we see a "Lin nips the XXX" headline
