Yep LockOPs got cancelled Merge said no! From what I read they were afraid Lock couldn't meet the guarantees and I'm sure the other skins raised hell :-( Merge is a network of "skins" the biggest ones are (in order of size as far as I know)CarbonLockPlayersOnly/SportsbookRPMBlackChipHero and some others I wouldn't recommend fooling with. All the games and player pools are shared between the skins. So if you are a Lock player you will be playing with players from all the skins. You can only do player to player money transfers on your specific skin. VIP programs and promotions vary from skin to skin just look through there sites online and see which you think fits your volume and play best. Merge checks take 4 to 6 weeks, Carbon now has Western Union payouts and you can get up to $600 twice a month for a $1200 max. Don't know if other skins have this since I play on Carbon. There is also Bovada, which now has anonymous tables, players are numbered and they have no usernames and you can't use tracking software. Their software is extremely laggy. The best thing is the games are pretty fishy. Payouts are around 3 to 4 weeks via check but you can get bankwires for larger payouts. Then True Poker/America's Cardroom - two skins one network. Low fishy volume, decent software, no real idea of payouts timeframe. Cake has been around a long time and used to be decent back in 2009 but they've gone downhill since and don't have much volume and their software is pretty awful. Payouts are the worst, however Intertops is on the Cake Network now and they handle their own cashier and payout via check up to $3K per check with 5 business days, best cashouts around. And no as much as I hate it US players can't play on wonderful and trustworthy PokerStars for real money. If I could move out of the country to play on PokerStars I would. Don't risk any money on any of these sites that you can't afford to lose. We play at our on risk!Oh True and America's Cardroom pay rakeback at 27% and Intertops pays 33% if you sign up on one of those go through an affiliate like Rake the Rake or Rake Back Nation to download the software and sign up for rakeback. You can still sign up for Carbon or Lock and maybe a couple of other Merge skins through Rake the Rake and you'll get into exclusive freerolls and free membership to Drag The Bar if you rake enough but Merge sites don't do rakeback for new accounts. *Drag the Bar might be Carbon only, if you don't know it's a poker training site.

I'm not from the US but wouldnt advise depositing any money in sites until everything gets sorted. If you want to however i think merge and cake are the 2 main front runners but cash outs for US players have been known to take 3+ months.
