  1. sorry, i guess i wasn't being clear. I usually dont type what i think and just assume it gets into print.I was thinking that if we raise the flop. it would go call call. (But there is the potential that the flop gets capped) If not...On the turn I was thinking it would go check. check. bet. *call. raise* or whatever action to follow after we get checked to on the turn. Lets say the flush or straight hits, then we'll likely see 3 bets on the turn in addition to the 3 bets on the flop.Otherwise, I see what you're saying. But I dont think we can eliminate the flush or the six (its about as li
  2. but by raising the flop, will hero lose bets on the turn when he raises? a flop raise will effectively means hero leads the turn and the CO and BB possibly just calling. However, I do suppose you should ask yourself whether or not you believe one of them is on a draw? If so, I'd go with the line of raising the flop. Punish the chaser by jamming the pot and since the hands are usually 3-bet anyways might as well keep that line open. Based on the background info, it doensn't sound like CO will fold the flop if they have an overpair and the BB is tilting anyways so they'll come along for th

  4. Hi. I'm the guy that posted that he's still learning to play NLHE a while back. I'm still learning. Was my raise way out of line? Boca had been playing TAG for as long as I had been seated at the table (about 6 orbits) and seemed like a decent player from what I knew.$0.25/$0.50 - No Limit Hold'em Seat 2: boca2000 ($101.05)Seat 9: Hero ($96.65)ChipsUpHosDown posts the small blind of $0.25Hero posts the big blind of $0.50The button is in seat #7*** HOLE CARDS ***Dealt to Hero [8c Td]boca2000 calls $0.50gloria785 calls $0.504foldsChipsUpHosDown calls $0.25Hero checks*** FLOP *** [Tc 8d Jh]Chi

  7. I think the trade doesn't mean a whole helluva lot. Boucher for Sauve is an upgrade, though very marginal at best. Reinprecht for Leclerc in my eyes is a downgrade. Leclerc is a grinder which fits the Sutter mold, but how many more grinders do we need? Reinprecht has the speed and the hands, though he didn't really show it here in Calgary.I'm guessing Sutter isn't done trading yet...He's setting up for some bigger trade...I hope
  8. Hey thanks for the replies! much appreciated.I think it was $340 or something like that. A decent score for $5
  9. I've been a limit HE player for the most part, and only dabbled in NL .Recently I took 3rd in a $5+0.50 NLHE MTT out of 735 entrants. I'm pretty sure I should have placed even better, but I seriously donked off my chips with only middle pair. It was a mistake I recognized.Anyways, the point of this post is to just thank the regular posters here for the accumulating NL advice that I've sifted through to help improve my game.I'm hoping to apply more of what I'm learning here to my limited cash game experiences too.w000t!CoolHand
  10. Close. His flop bet is a gaybet because we raised PF, then he lead out instead of checking to us. Since we just called the flop, his turn bet is more of a continuation bet type. If we had raised the flop and he lead out again on the turn, that's a gaybet. atleast that's how I've taken it. Maybe I'm wrong. I've been wrong at physics all day. :xmother ****ing shit **** shit shit shit shit ****!ok, well between your physics and my dependency on Otrivin...I still check the river
  11. I think you'll be susceptible to a lot of bluffs if you fold everytime you miss the flop...
  12. werd. While I don't think we're up against 2pair on the flop here, I think A5 here is a possible holding by UTG and could have made 2pr on the turn as a result of his gaybet. (I did use this term right didn't I?!) BB most likely on a flush draw as he is willing to call 2 cold by the Turn.Of course, this all depends on how loose you think UTG is...I think raising the flop is alright. Makes the flush draws pay and you could still be good...Turn raise is fine...Assessment ok?
  13. s'all goot. It's why I rarely post... :-)
  14. do you know what this means? At what point in hand is this WA/WB ?after the river? well of course!wow...I remember the days when you were just learning and posted things errantly. Now you're the big bold master.Perhaps I'm mistaken as I dont use these terms as often as others as I'm not an avid poster...feel free educate me.Meh, what I'm suggesting is check the river...
