Not sure about flop play. obv I want to get it in but I'm wondering if we should call and try to suck SB into the pot or if he'll probably end up calling no matter what we doin retrospect, now that I've posted the hand, I don't like flatting the flop because we don't know what's a scare card. I'm confident he's potting a flush draw but what if a broadway comes down? It doesn't hurt to have sets in your range when you call on flops like this. You shouldn't do it every time, but it's not a bad play to have in your hat. It might save you some money when he has AA and the board comes off with scare cards, and it might induce action from weaker hands later.For example, if the board pairs the turn, he might bet out to represent a fullhouse thinking that you will fold all your draws. Or maybe he will pay off with a weaker hand thinking that you can't have a set because you called the flop. Maybe he leads on blank turns with draws or two-pair hands because he thinks you are weak.This also gives you protection when you call the flop with draws and the board pairs. If he knows you can have a set maybe he checks and gives you a free card. Having sb in the hand doesn't matter too much in my opinion. Sometimes flatting gives him pot odds to chase, sometimes it induces him to call with bad odds, so it balances out.

i think as played you shove and lose here LOL (even thou it is the right play). Being this short i don't like the flat as much, we would much rather get it in on the flop here bc we are frozen on all bad turns and ma allow for more outs for villain (he is never folding a double flush draw ect). If we were deeper and could easily walk away from bad turns, then flatting has some value of mixing up your play and allowing weaker hands to pay you off on later streets, but that play is risky so do it very carefully

The only thing I say, and it goes along with what dingas already pointed out, is that I like this line as more of a mix-up style (to keep BB from sniffing out your set and firing into you, etc.), as compared to trying to bring the SB along. Other point of order is that in this hand here.....at .01/.02, AAxx typically 3-bets, regardless of position, etc. I wouldn't think this is in his range. As such I would raise this flop to charge draws appropriately, feeling strong that we're ahead of a two pair and/or FD here far most of the time, and occasionally owning a bottom set (more often than crushed by top set).

yea in an aggressive 6max game I'm never worried about top set, even though at 2plo many opponents don't 3-bet aces. He flipped and bricked the 5h7hxxI agree w/y'all that flatting is fine for some deception but that, overall, raising is best.

I think I hate bringing the sb along at .01/.02, not sure there is much need for deception at those stakes -
