  1. I have not been to this site in ages! Glad some things are still here. Miss the old Fantasy contest we used to play the start of this decade. Good luck all and I'll see you in Las Vegas -- and Daniel will win 3 bracelets, or at the very least WSOP Player of the Year and 2 bracelets!
  2. I hope Daniel and/or the forum leaders reconsider, act fast and do this. The contest was always a lot of fun and, as stated by others, added to far-off folks' interest in the WSOP ... and in poker. We don't need big prizes. We just want to play, to compete. To have FUN!
  3. Kopitar nothing. Sedin nothing. Uh oh.
  4. Great schedule Daniel! Odds heavily say you'll digress from this schedule when the mood (hunger, frustration, boredom, gut feeling) strikes you amidst all the action! You can't help it. Good luck champion!! And I look forward to the FCP Fantasy contest agaiin -- heaven for those of us who can't make the WSOP and aren't Full Tilt-able!
  5. OK, without research and to get this time-stamped (for bragging purposes) by noon PT Monday, I'm backing EK, DA, VS, SD, CM, PH, PH, TD, JC, FJ, DC, VW, SB, DR and BR. Gotta be a contrarian...
  6. Is there a way to access the list of players y'all used for the contest? I'd like to see it to pick for fun (and to maybe get a side pool going with my local and Facebook pals). Can't access any list here since contest closed. Thanks!-- Doh! Nevermind, just found the field at the bottom of the first post. I shouldn't have skimmed it and then jumped to the last page... Good luck again.
  7. Dang dang dang. Just heard about this being back. Loved it in the past, but a little too late this year. Boo. Any chance for a 24-hour mulligan (since still hasn't bgun Event 2, and no money close to awarded yet), or a redo starting say Friday June 1? LOL. Good luck everyone! (Especially Daniel!!!)
  8. Haven't seen any results yet (probably hasn't begun yet). But Jiminy Christmas, what matchups! What potential matchups!!!Didn't know whether to go with who should win or who I want to win. Who'll play serious or who'll play drunk. Old school or new? As usual, I decided to go with a mix ... which is when my cute crabs usually run into pocket rockets. Oh well. How're these for real first-round matches: Seidel-Seed, Negreanu-J.Mercier, Lederer-Hellmuth, Greenstein-Rousso, Hansen-Raymer and the Duel of the Jennifers (Tilly-Harman)? Wow. The Diamonds Bracket is definitely the "Region of Death." Yet
  9. Pottery??? Are you skimming my medz?
  10. I loved Daniel's blog item today (2/22) and his picks for the NAPT Bounty Shootout Wednesday at the Venetian. But sorry, I have to disagree some with ya, boss. And since I don't see a thread anywhere (blind as a bat, lost and always in a hurry, oh well), here's my selections by table:Bonomo, Alaei, Mercier, Negreanu, Tran, Esfandiari and (lord forgive me) Hellmuth.A buck a winner, jefe? Good luck Daniel!!!
  11. Hang in there Daniel. There's a lot of love around for your mom and all of you. No matter what, everything will work out for the best. Try to hang in. We're here if there's anything at all we can do/say/think. Prayers and meditations and positive energy are a given, sir. Peace and love to you all...Bruce/shamanalix
  12. Adding my congratulations to all the others. Strong consistent play is great, but there's still nothing like winning! Continued success and happiness, Daniel; you're the best!
  13. Weird. Sent gov a PM about no confirmation e-mail, but even the PM isn't showing as sent. Slow mailboxes ... must be USPS run... I'll check again at midnight.
  14. This topic is going unnoticed in the "news" section below, so I thought I'd try reposting up here. Try to get a little feedback, a little interest, a little fire started ... or maybe poker players really DON'T care. Ah well, each makes their own choice; that's freedom..."Inspiration doesn't always come in the timeliest manner, but it comes. This is my inspiration. It ain't much, but it's doing something, and it's more active than a petition. Please feel free to join in and spread the word. Please feel free to join in and spread the word. Fight against dictators and apathy, fight for poker! My thought: A form of civil protest against the "anti-poker bill", especially since res. George W. Bush will be signing it into law on Friday, Oct. 13. My plan: Poker players and their supporters wear black armbands for the (hopefully temporary) death of some of their freedom of choice. Wear it if you're playing in a
