$25,000 Wsop Fantasy Auction Draft

Recommended Posts

Buy In: $25,000Betting Units for picking players: 200Number of players per team: 8 Each team must fill a roster of 8 players and mustkeep enough units to fill out their roster. So, forexample, if you need 3 players and have 52 units leftthe max bid you can make on a player is 50.The Scoring System:1st 502nd 453rd 404th 355th 306th 257th 208th 159th 1010th-18th 5Cash 1All Points are worth double in events with a 10k buy in or higherAn additional point per 100 entries is awarded to players whofinish in the top 18. No rounding off. An event with 87players gets no point bonus, a 105 player field gets a 1 pointbonus, a 247 player field gets a 2 point bonus, and a 1425 playerfield would award a 14 point bonus to all players in top 18. In a heads up event, players finishing in the same position wouldsplit the points for that spot. For example, 5th through 8th wouldget 22.5 points (plus field size bonuses) and be rounded up.In order to receive points, a player must cash. EXAMPLE: a 5th place finish in the $10,000 Omaha 8 with 312 playerswould be worth:5th- 30312- 310k Bonus x2For a total of 66 pointsBidding: A random order will be drawn for nominating players to bebid on. You may pass your turn to throw out a name. Once a playeris thrown out for bidding the auction starts, and he'll go to thehighest bidder after a call of going once, going twice, sold.Payouts: Will depend on the number of entries-8 or less: 75%/25%14 or less: 65%/25%/10%16 or less: 60%/25%/10%/5% The draft will start Thursday 8pm PROMPTLY. If you are late, you may missan opportunity to get a player you want. Anyone who arrives late canstill participate in the league. Results will be updated nightly via a spreadsheet you'll all have access toonline. The main event will count, but points will be awarded to any playersmaking the final 9 based on chip count. So if your player sits in 6th placeyou'll get 6th place points for his result. Points will only be awarded in open events, no Seniors, Ladies, or Employeeevents will count.

It's an auction draft so there is no "first pick" but I'd bet Seidel doesn't go for a top 5 amount. Each team gets 200 to spend on 8 players and last year the #1 guy was Phil Ivey who went for 100.

I don't understand...are you posting this asking for advice? Are you posting this to talk about some cool format game? So your other friends can see the rules? So we all can be in awe of your expensive taste in games?

I've been tweaking this scoring for five years now, 30players per team cuz its a heads up fantasy draft, but I do believe my scoring system is easier to follow and more accurate than DN's**All Non-Specified Events w more than 1000peoplecash-5-final.two.tables -8-final table-10-fifth -15-third -20-second -25-first -30- **All Non-Specified Events w less than 1000peoplecash-2-final table -5-fifth -8-fourth -10-third -12-second -15-first -20- **Heads upcash -5-elite8 -10-final4 -15-final2 -25-champ -40- **MAIN EVENTcash -15-final200 -20-final90 -25-final27 -30-final18 -40-final9 -50-third -65-second -75-first -100- **50k H.O.R.S.Ecash -5-final8 -10-fourth -20-third -25-second -30-first -40- **Shootout Eventscash-5-final table -10-third -12-second -15-first -20- Bonus Points*****P.O.Y./ MVP -25-Each team to Include 30players, w at least: 1 woman, 1 ME champ , 1 from last years FT

If seidel only played 3 tourneys I'd still play top dollar for him. that said i have about 0.05% of the 25k buyin to my name

If Howard Lederer is running it again this year is he letting people buy in for ftp bucks or does it have to be real money?

Does anyone know Scott Seiver's story before winning the WPT event? It seemed like he showed up out of nowhere playing high roller events.

He won a WSOP bracelet in 2008, cashed for like $750k. Seems to be his first bigtime score and his talent just snowballed him from there.
