  1. What if you're wearing a shirt or hat with a sports team on it (i.e. DN's hockey jerseys or Harrington's "cool" Red Sox hat (dude, bend the bill)? Do they tape them out too? Or what if you want to wear something with your college/alma mater's name on it?It's pretty dumb if you can't give props to something if you're not getting paid for it.
  2. I don't have Comcast cable (I have Suscom), but I get Comcast Sportsnet. BTW, I live in a small town between Williamsport and State College.
  3. I was just curious about how many people actually get the Outdoor Life Network. I have basic cable right now and don't get it. I checked my cable company's digital cable line up, and it's not there either. I guess I could get Dish or Direct, but then I'd have to give up my Flyers games on Comcast Sportsnet (Comcast being a cable company, they don't license their broadcasts to satellite providers, and I couldn't go a whole hockey season without hearing Steve Coates run out of breath and mispronounce people's names.)Anyway, bottom line, do you get the outdoor life network, and, if you do, w
  4. I don't want to turn this into an "I hate the Leafs" post, but, c'mon.Do you remember Tucker laying on the ice like he was dead after he got hit during a Flyers/Leafs playoff game and then getting up to skate his next shift? Faking injury is the same as diving.BTW, it's nice to know that even Leaf fans think tucker is a douche.
  5. Write about fighting in hockey, specifically about how the introduction of the instigator penalty has increased the number of injuries in the league. If a goon (sorry, I mean "enforcer") can't start a fight without putting his team on the PK, he can't police the ice. Therefore, scrubs like Tucker and Havlat can use their sticks and elbows against skilled players, taking them out of the game, and then turtle when guys like Brashear, etc. try to make them accountable. Speaking of Tucker, write a paragraph about how diving should be a 10 minute misconduct with a 2 game suspension.
  6. Rocket Richard is rolling over in his grave...with an erection.
  7. I must have watched that 15 times. When does he put the puck on his back hand? I think the shot comes off of his back hand, but when he flattens his blade on the puck, it's on his forehand. That's just insane.
  8. Who is that? I don't recognize either of them.
  9. I have a Parent autograph hanging in my office, along with LeClair, Barber, Leatch, Tocchet, Hextall (of course) and "The Hammer" Schultz.
  10. I was thinking Alexandre Daigle. Okay, here's one; when I think of the all time biggest busts in NHL history, I think of...
  11. Bernie Parent. Why he should be mentioned:1973-74 - Vezina, Conn Smythe and Stanley Cup1974-75 - Vezina, Conn Smythe and Stanley CupFirst player in NHL history to win back to back Conn Smythe Trophies. Why he's not mentioned: 1978, errant stick to the eye by his own defenseman ends his career.Damn shame.
  12. very nice. I'm going through their songs right now to choose which one will be the next sigMy personal favorite: "A week is a month and an hour a dayWhen your reaching just pushes it further away"
  13. Hey KDawg,"He meets my eyes, to my surprise, He laughs in full light of my frownMy double wants to pull me down."Now THERE'S an underrated band.
  14. I'm a huge beatle guy but the bands output since 1970 is infinitely worse than the stones - not one good songWas that sarcasm, or are you talking about solo stuff? Besides, "Free as a Bird" is a good song. ("Real Love"...not so much)
