InternetExplorer 2,609
Girlfriend loves the chromecast, got her phone situated with all the apps she needs to drive the TV. It's almost single digits outside, perfect weather for a Saturday on the couch with blankets and pillows. My parents' SS benefit is comically low compared to their actual income due to the way they structured their business for the last 15+ years. Not paying in via tax planning only makes sense (IMO) if you are doing retirement planning alongside it. They are kinda screwed. The situation has parallels to the transition from defined benefit to defined contribution plans, and how people are setting themselves up for an awful retirement due to having no ability to save and manage investments on their own. CobaltBlue 662
When will this winter of discontent end? One of my favorite books. It's rare that anything from high-school English resonated with me, but that one did, and I re-read it for pleasure years later.

CobaltBlue 662
I drive by a dairy queen nearly every day, and I have yet to purchase an ice cream confection from them. I admit once, breaking down and getting a Quesadilla when I was absolutely starving, but it was awful, and I haven't been back since. I know this is probably a bad time to bring it up, given Brv's passing, but DQ sucks donkey dicks. The last time that I went to a DQ was to try to get an actual meal to mix things up. There's one in a strip mall not far from where I live now. However, they only sold ice cream, so I left without purchasing anything.

InternetExplorer 2,609
I am thinking about getting a roomba. I don't think the robot vacuum idea is frivolous at all. your time is worth something and that robot frees up a significant amount of it.
Napa Lite 3,278
I got it in the hopes of getting as much dog hair out of my carpet as possible which hopefully leads to me getting more of my deposit back. And hopefully I can cut my vacuuming down from 2-3 times a week to 1. I got a refurb neato from woot. My buddy has one and he loves it which is why I got a neato instead of a roomba. Plus it's way cheaper. It did my entire apartment and its not like I had to program any rooms or anything, because you can't, it just goes until it runs out of battery, then goes back to its base, and picks up where it left off until it figures it's been everywhere. I actually ordered one and it was basically DOA and the replacement they sent me is actually the higher model, so, score, I guess. Took the tests to do the poor people taxes tonight. Missed 5 of the 35 but in my defense 3 of those are because I didn't handle a home loan modification correctly and I'll never come across that so, fvck it.
Napa Lite 3,278
I also taped my Ar-15 to it tonight to make a Snapchat joke about beefing up my home security. Which I think justifies the purchase in and of itself.

CobaltBlue 662
I've considered a robot vacuum because of the fact that I fathered two crumb factories. Our floors get quite dirty rather quickly. With that said, I'm not sure that they wouldn't think it was a toy and mess with it. I also am not sure how well it would navigate with all of the toys around.

Tiltinagain 973
One of my favorite books. It's rare that anything from high-school English resonated with me, but that one did, and I re-read it for pleasure years later. The HS book for me was Old man and the sea. I've considered a robot vacuum because of the fact that I fathered two crumb factories. Our floors get quite dirty rather quickly. With that said, I'm not sure that they wouldn't think it was a toy and mess with it. I also am not sure how well it would navigate with all of the toys around. It will work its way around the toys just fine, even pushing them out of the way if they're light enough, but of course you'll have dirty spots under them. I can definitely see the kids thinking it's great fun to chase it around.

Napa Lite 3,278
Don't forget the people who let their dog shit on my patio that I stepped in. And also the woman beater (who is the same people as the shoes people). I saw a note on their door the other day. I can only hope it was like a final warning to not be late with rent again because it's not the first time I've seen one.
Ron_Mexico 4,219
Why wouldn't you list your favorite bar? Someone let their dog shit on your apt entrance and didn't pick it up? Someone that would do that might deserve to die, because if you have that little respect for your fellow man, you're no good to me. Colby, have you considered picking up your kids toys? We have a roomba, but I'm not much of a fan. I like a nice vacuum and I like doing it
Napa Lite 3,278
Because this dude might be a weirdo (or at least more weird than me) and I don't want to be responsible for that coming into my bar and ruining it for the other regulars. It's not like it's the best bar ever or anything. Um, no offense. I just don't know you at all. I'm sure you're fine. Probably cooler than me. Or maybe you wouldn't even want to hang out? What's I ever do to you? Too good for me now? Hey, fvck you buddy. And not just once. Twice. Right on my gd patio steps. Like, ffs. Poop bags cost $12 for 1,000. Hell all the parks give them out and you could just steal a huge roll if you're that hard up. Or just ask me. I'll give you some. At the very least use plastic grocery bags. It's seriously infuriating how much dog shit I see around. Makes me want to start a poop DNA company for apartments to use to be able to send in shit so they know who's doing it and can kick them out.

Tiltinagain 973
Tre' Gay Even though I almost never leave the house I managed to pick up a nasty head/chest cold that started kicking my ass last night. Sucks. Further suckage is apparently these, what we thought were abscesses, may not be since the Doc wants me to come into the office to go over results of a biopsy I did this past Friday. At this point, not sure which is worse.
Napa Lite 3,278
There was an (alleged) accidental shooting across the street from me this morning. I was out walking Mack when I saw a bunch of cops roll up but I figured it was just suburb cops overreacting. Nope. Shooting. Maybe T-0001 wasn't a terrible idea after all.

CobaltBlue 662
But seriously, I pick them up almost every day. It's constantly disheartening how quickly the house can go from clean to a disaster area. We haven't even really bought them toys...they just accumulate as gifts.
