Villain was new to the table, so no good reads...Most opponent at 25NL aren't raising the turn on a draw, so his most likely hand is a set or two pair. I feel like he's pot stuck on the river after his bet, so is jamming the right move here? Also, can we call the raise on the turn profitably?PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (5 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.comHero (MP) ($27)Button ($26.05)SB ($25.45)BB ($25)UTG ($14.90)Preflop: Hero is MP with JPosted Image, KPosted Image1 fold, Hero raises to $0.75, 2 folds, BB calls $0.50Flop: ($1.60) APosted Image, 5Posted Image, 8Posted Image (2 players)BB checks, Hero bets $1, BB calls $1Turn: ($3.60) 10Posted Image (2 players)BB checks, Hero bets $2.25, BB raises to $6, Hero calls $3.75River: ($15.60) QPosted Image (2 players)BB bets $8, Hero raises to $19.25 (All-In), BB calls $9.25 (All-In)Total pot: $50.10 | Rake: $2

Every part of this hand is 100% standard. You can easily call $3.75 more on the turn with ~10 outs (assuming the 8h+Ah are dead against a set). You've said yourself that his range is very likely to be 2 pair or a set, so why would you consider anything but a shove on the river?

I'd like to hear opinions on the turn action. The river is super-standard, I think.

I would bet bigger on the turn as I think it gets more folds, but then considering when you bet small you can more easily call if he raises I'm not so sure.

I'm not sure this is the best turn to double barrel. Sure we picked up a bunch of equity, but what hand calls OTF and folds this turn? I'd prefer to know something about the player, i.e. he's a peeler who calls lightly on the flop, or a multi-tabling "TAG", and we can blow him off on the turn. I can't really fault you for aggression in position, thoughI bet more OTF too - like $1.20

Hand was played fine imo. Turn bet could have been a tiny bit more, maybe $2.75 or $3.

I'll love when OP says the guy had KJss. But yeah, this is pretty standard. I'd have to have a pretty strong reason not to raise the river.

if he has it (sure, it's a possibility) that doesn't change the fact that he's retarded

Well that certainly explains his actions.Gutshot with FD on the flop. Gets open ended on the turn.Don't worry about the results though, you played it the same way most would.
