I think using division record is stupid for the wildcard tiebreaker. It punishes teams who have tougher division opponents.Wildcard should beHead to headConference RecordCommon Opponents1 Game Playoff
Agreed. Why does division record come into play for wild card spots? Versus conference makes so much more sense.

Although I plan to win the division, I agree with Zimmer here. With that said, I doubt sleuthis will change the rules once they've been set.

for the record, i agree with zim as well, and even though it screws us in saying so, i do think it'd be wrong to change things after the rules were set from the beginning.

Yeah the puggy pearson division is a tough go of it for sure. Each team is tough that is for sure. Our division has an overall record of 24-17. But the Spades confernce in general is super tough. We have 7 teams 6-4 or higher and maybe 8 by the end of tonight.

I agree. This seems to be the least time consuming and the least confusing. I'll start. I'm 6'5.
finally, some common sense on the forum.I'm 6'5" as well, so I guess that plan failed.Longest drive?

Yeah, that's true. I'm such a stickler for rules that it would be wrong to change the tie breaker formula unless there was a unanimous decision.

Actually it wouldnt be changing the rules at all...........since nothing was laid out for 3+ teams being tied. However I will keep it as simple as possible.for multiple teams1) Head to head records2) CONFERENCE record3) Record vs common teams4) Total team weight (in lbs)5) one game playoff (unless more than 2 teams remain tied in which case it will be a round robin)and btw - #4 is a joke (in case any of you were running for a scale)
