First Live Multi Table Cash

Recommended Posts

I've played I think 6or7 live poker tournaments. Ranging from 2 to 10 tables. Ive made one final table where the top 6 got paid, went out 8th i think. But I made my first cash on Monday night !I think I shudda won it tho. Went out on this hand: Seat 1[chipleader] raises 3xBB [30k], I know, he has an ace, the bb is all in and he is raises to try to isolate the player. It folds round to me in Middle pos, i go all in with AK for another 45k. I thought hed think id make this play with any ace, so i tohught hed call, and he did. It was AKvsA8vsT6, but the AKvA8 was the important one for the side pot. Anyway the turn was an 8 and so was the river so i went out in 6th, AND I didnt even get money for 6th, apparently the way they do it, is if 2 playes go out on the same hand, they split the money, even tho i had 65k more than him going into the hand. The whole toyurnament went well and i was happy with my play. It went badly just after the rebuys finished, but then i busted a guy, and was back. Then I moved table, bluffed nearly all my chips, pciked up Qs7s, went all in, picked up the blinds, THEN pciked up AQ. Went ai (blinds were 1k/2k, i had 8k) got called by two people. Flop was AT2, check check. turn was a king, check, guy bets, folds. He has KT for two pair. So my outs were an ace for trips, a queen for a higher two pair, or a jack for a straight. The river came a 2. I got up from my seat ready to leave, he was gathering in the pot, then i realised the 2 paired the board and that i had made aces up ! pretty sweet..

BTW, I'm not 18 yet, anyone have anything against underage gambling ?
Apparently Ireland's school system teaches spelling as well as America's does.

What ? well (not that I can see) there's no wrong spelling in that sentence, and if there is in the main paragraph, its probably an abreviation or typo or whatever. Or else I'm just completely missing the point

There's a lack of apostrophes in the main paragraph and a few typos, but maybe Bizzle just shuddered at shudda. He may pick you up on abreviation too.Anyway, fortunately this is poker school not English class - bad beat, but congratulations on your first cash. I'm not a big fan of underage gambling, but good luck nonetheless.

The first reply was basically a filler while I tried to figure out how to respond to this fluff post. So, here goes. Bizzle's 8 simple rules for posting in tourney strat1) If you are starting a topic, your post must contain a question. If it does not contain a question, it belongs in a different forum (there are a few exceptions to this, but none notable enough to note in the rules).2) If you are posting a question about a hand, include as much of the hand history as possible. This includes all relevant stacks, all suits of all cards, and if applicable, the payout structure.3) If you are posting about a hand, and you were more than a 2:1 favorite when the money went in, and you want to know how you could have played it differently, here is the stock answer: "Next time, don't deposit. [insert site/B&M name here] is rigged." You have posted a bad beat, and are just looking for attention. This is probably because you are 12 years old and your parents are divorced and noone loves you anymore, but we really do not care.4) If you are posting about a hand, and you wish to post results, expect results-oriented analysis. The right play is the play that wins, unless it loses. Posting results in blue is ok, but that basically indicates to us that you have no plans in terms of coming back to the thread.5) If you post a question about a hand you played...and then spend the next 20 posts defending your play while other, more talented and better looking players skewer it like the kebab I ate last night, you are looking for people to agree with you. In this case, quit poker forever and run for government.6) If you post a question about the first hand of the WSOP, or folding KK preflop, or anything else that you think is a fun discussion that we have never heard before, you will get numerous requests to learn to use the search function. As you are a monkey who just learned how to use a computer, we understand that this is hard, but it is doable.7) Use the hand converter. Or, at least paste the HH into the thread. Unless it is a live hand, this is always possible.8) This is a place of people who are very intelligent and well-mannered. We are here because we want to improve our games and bounce new, fresh ideas off one another. If you ever think about posting a question, and think "Hey, this is sort of dumb"...go post in general.Regulars, please feel free to add on some more, if they are worthy they will definitely get tacked on to this thread.

6) If you are asking a question about a hand, don't include what villain's hole cards were until after you get a few responses. 7) "Should I fold KK pre-flop?" - yes, fold it, then lookup 'therrinn' and come sit at my table.

Corollary to Rule 4) Post results in light blue. If a responder seems to have uncanny success at putting the villain(s) on a single hand, they are only trying to look smarter than their -92% ROI.

8) Use a hand converter where possible. 9) Don't start threads about what should you do if you had AA in the big blind in the first hand of the WSOP main event and everyone goes all in before the action reaches you pre-flop.10) Post some non-Texas tournament hands. Oh please. Go on.11) Include details of past hands with anyone important in the current hand.12) If kebabs in Ireland are like the ones in England then if you follow Bizzle's example you'll need to have lots of alcohol before eating one. Don't post in tourney strat after the booze; post in general instead and enjoy being flamed by everyone else who is under 18 on this board.

Alright guys, take it handy. Didn't put in all the details but didnt want to bore ye.Stack sizes of relevant players were:Seat 1 120kMe 75kBB 10kBlinds 5k/10k7left, 8 get money. 1st-750 2nd-300, 6th-100, 7th-90other stacks had between 60 and 100kHand went like this, with no commentary...BB is all inSeat 1 raises to 30k Me go all in for 75k totalSeat 1 callsSeat 1 show Ah8hI show AcKdBB shows Ts6hmain pot=35kside pot=130kBoard= xxx88Seat 1 collects 165k from potBB is eliminated, he gets 90euroI am eliminated, i get 90euroInfo on seat 1 - Had been at table with him for 4 hands, he raised to 30k the previous hand and took blinds. I played one hand where i rose to 20k to isolate the play to the short stack, i had AJTable- The table was generally tight, all trying to move up in money. Blinds were huge, so it was more or less allin/commit yourself or fold. There ya go. No real question, just seeing if anyone has anyone has anything to add or whatever about anything else in the tournament, neednt be this hand. And also, I hate bullsh!tters who spend 2/3 of their day on these threads, and are only here to cause arguments

I think I've found Bizzle's rule that applies here.....
