CobaltBlue 662
Just got it for Christmas (along with a bunch of other poker books). It's towards the bottom of the reading list, but I'll report back when I finish it.

CobaltBlue 662
So I just finished reading it. I'm always skeptical of narrow "gimmick" poker books, but I'd highly recommend this one. It has caused me to re-evaluate my play and push me to grow as a poker player more than any other book I've read recently. Over the past couple of months, I've worked on inducing and picking off bluffs. I think the next step is to improve my bluffing to the point where I can re-bluff.The book includes a number of semi-bluffs, but it's pretty amazing that the bulk of the material consists of stone-cold bluffs. It's definitely made me want to be more fearless with my play...putting the my opponents to the test when the situation governs it.Traditional theory (Sklansky) seems to maintain that you should break even with your bluffs - that they're there to give you action on your good hands. This book takes a different approach, as one of the most powerful maxims is "If you never get called, you can never lose."

CobaltBlue 662
Great feedback Cobalt, it has moved up to my next book to read. Do you think it will be effective for online play as well as live or is it more focuesd tword live play??If I recall, he does touch on online poker. As other authors have noted, bluffing happens pretty frequently online due to its ease, but that it won't succeed quite as often (particularly at low-limits).
