On which point? I don't follow, usually remade horror movies are 10x worse than original (not necessarily *the* original) ones.

Well, yeah if you remake it with horrid actors and try to change a bunch of things.I meant in the sense that you didn't get lame story stuff and corny lines, because it probably followed the original pretty well. But I havent' seen it, so I dunno.

munich = good speilberg "serious" movie. some cool killing scenes. really solid all around. i would recomend seeing it, but it is not his best movie ever like some people say.good night good luck = a little boring but a well made and well acted movie. not much action, but i would see it if you arnt an action freakwalk the line = cliched (sp?), same story that weve seen a million times, just with a different person. too much time spent watching the guy singing. but again, a well made movie with excellent acting.syriana = a little confusing but a pretty good political thiller.

Saw this one recently. It's not a new movie, but an old one on DVD.Ultimately a boring documentary that would probably cater better to outdoor/nature types, or documentary watchers, but a fascinating, chilling character study nonetheless: Grizzly Man.Some say poker is a bad obsession--maybe, maybe not. We, who play to pay the bills, know better than that.But for those who think too much poker is unhealthy, after watching Grizzly Man, even marathon 24 hour+ sessions seem normal and even healthy. It's about a guy who lived with grizzly bears and filmed them for 13 summers, (two month stretches) armed with no weaponry of any kind. He ran well for 13 years (he was the Phil Ivey of living with grizzly bears), until the 13th year. The main thing you are thinking throughout the movie, with all due respect to the man and his life's work, this guy was the biggest donkified degenerate action junkie gambler of all time, and the ultimate tragedy of it was not that he gambled away his own life--playing the long volatile odds set by nature--but that he gambled away his girlfriend's life as well.Check it out on DVD, if you don't mind being bored for stretches, and slightly horrified for other stretches; it's interesting.

I saw Grizzly Man and was pretty disappointed. There wasn't much to tell. Guy had a crap life, found purpose living with the bears, but was nuts and deluded and was eventually eaten. We found that out within the first 20 minutes and then it was just repeated over and over for the rest of the movie. The death audio would have saved it though.

What? WHAT? WHAT!!!??!!! Holy hell! My world is falling apart. You actually liked that movie? Seriously, one of my least favorite horror movies of all time. I don't even know where to begin with my critique of this thing. Just awful all around. I really expected you to have better taste than this. I'm extremely disappointed.

Meh, I almost universally hate horror movies, but I can see how you wouldn't like this one if you enjoy the genre. I hate the genre, so a horror movie that isn't like the rest of them agrees with me...

I took my son to see 8 Below. My mom told me how awesome and inspiring it was. I usually love those kind of movies.Anyway I thought it was OK at best. I won't spoil it for ya but the middle hour of the movie was pretty boring.

Saw Freedomland over the weekend... horrible flick.They make the trailer seem like it's an actual thriller, but it turns out to be a snore fest.I actually enjoyed When a Stranger Calls. I was a big fan of the original (Actually part 2 more so then the original) but I decided not to draw comparisons and just take it in.It was a popcorn flick in my mind, it's not an oscar winning movie but it was more entertaining then a lot of crap out there. The could've picked a much better lead role in my mind though.

Rented over the weekend...Must Love Dogs- (gf rented) and even she hated itDiane Lane is always a hottie but the movie was totally pointless.Two for the Money ( my pic) and even I hated itGeez a Pacino flick about gambling. It was really bad, never went anywhere and again was totally absurd and pointless. Even great acting couldn't help the movie

A friend of mine rented Must Love Dogs and I actually enjoyed it. However, this could stem from the fact that the last movie she picked out was some Cameron Diaz movie "In Her Shoes" or something like that....and that was absolutely horrid.

I saw The Proposition last night. Australian cowboy movie written by Nick Cave. It's really good. Good story, some great photography and a great soundtrack. It's really lyrical but has some good gore and violence.

V for Vendetta was great...really cool flick. And natalie portman is hot...even if she has a shaved head for half of the movie.

Last movie I saw was Munich.Good stuff. That is all.But really, I want a yay or nay on V for Vendetta.... although I'll probably see it anyway.I don't even need a review, just whether it was good.

I thought it was one of the best movies i've seen in a long time. It isn't full of "action"--but it really will get you worked up. It really gets your revolutionary juices flowing. While the political statement was none too subtle, i think it makes an unbelievable point, regardless of your political leanings. I'd like to hear what some conservative folks think of this movie--considering that i'm sure many of them saw this as an attack on what the GWB administration is doing. Not that what GWB is doing is to this extreme---but many who question his actions are fearfull of the road we're going down.

Saw Inside Man yesterday.It was an awesome movie. If you like cop movies or capers, this is one to see. Quite a tist and great acting by all. 10/10

The most under-rated and under-appreciated movie of the last year without a doubt was MUNICH.I think most folks avoided it because it looks to long winded, or political or boring.Hardly. It has all of those elements but that scene on the House boat with that whore double agent was one of the most chillling and cold blooded murder scenes I can ever remember in a film. Just incredible. And there were many moments like that.The main point of the film is looking back at a government assassin and how the actions of his past is now destroying him emotionally.It is without a doubt one of Speilbergs best films. V for Vendatta surprised me. I really liked it. Good escapist fare.If I may suggest a good rental it would be SIDEWAYS. I thought I was gonna hate this but ended up laughing my a ss off. Paul Giammati is GOLD. Is there a better actor in his class?And His lug of a buddy is one of the best charactors in a film in a long time. What a riot.

I really don't see what is so great about V for Vendetta, I thought it was aweful.

hills have eyes is a great "scary" movie i think. Those bastards do everything you dont want to see. They so cross a lot of lines though...especially with the rape scene.....the whole movie wasnt necessarily like jumpy scary it just leaves you sittin there sayin "please tell me they arent going to do that" and they actuallydo it. I liked it but im kinda twisted.

That whole trailer scene was disgusting.My good friend, who is a girl, started crying during that scene.Then we left.

Went to see Inside Man over the weekend. It was a decent action movie, you would never, ever, ever know that it's a Spike Lee movie unless you paid attention to the credits or someone told you. I think Spike has finally realized that it's ok to make movies that reach a wide audience every now and then, rather than making the same "It's hard out there for a person of color" arty movies. Anyway, the story was good, the acting was superb (Clive Owen makes an amazing bad guy) and there was some decent action. Jodie Foster's character had the feeling of "Jodie Foster wants to be in this movie, we have to expand the role significantly". There just didn't seem to be much point in having her in the movie, but her character is the 3rd largest role. I think the filmmakers went in the wrong direction with Denzel's character, or they should have used a different actor. He's playing a film noir type detective mixed with Alonzo from Training Day. Should have gone one way or the other, but they tried to meet in the middle. I think a different actor in the role would have been the right move, but no one (especially Spike Lee) is going to say no to Denzel. The movie would have been much better with a young rookie detective thrown into a situation he couldn't control (like a Taye Diggs or Josh Hartnett) rather than trying to fit the role around Denzel as a veteran detective who is the last choice to be running the show. Clive Owen was easily the best part of the movie. Perfect casting and excellent acting throughout. He's playing the villain, but not really in a villainous way. More like a guy with a goal who is willing to use any means necessary to achive the goal. Definitely worth seeing, but not necessarily a must see at the full price theatre. 7/10

I saw Inside Man. I liked it a lot, but it still could've been a lot better if they tied up a few loose ends.
