FourFlusher 0
I do it a lot.It gives them confidence to stay in the hand, taking it for weakness. The guy flopped the nut house, betting out strong would tend to put people on edge.Every body want's to brag when they think they "sensed" weakness. So, you force feed them some and let them choke on it.It's a good play, not slow rolling.

He is not mad about the hesitation, simply the fact that the guy took a long time to call with the nut full house on the flop. I thought we settled this issue in this thread already. mrdannyg 274
a lot of people do that, taking lots of time to make a play when they are really strong. frankly, it's one of the biggest tells (at low limits) that people have a very big hand.pretty funny actually. i love typing like "you must really want action on that AQ, eh?" before just calling with something strong, and have them show down their nuts. friggin donks.EDIT: man, i wish i had read that post above me before posting. FourFlusher 0
I say we make Grinder the "settled monitor", and when something gets settled on a thread, he can call it, then, we don't have to pretend it's an interactive forum anymore and continue the charade of conversation.Any treads longer than three, four tops, long is an obvious waste of bandwitdth, and a certain indicator of poor reading comprehension.Dog jokes, that's what this place needs more of. I said you have no reading comprehension, because you made some random post about acting slowly on hands, when the op was upset about his opponent slowrolling him with the nut full house after the op was already all in. That exact point was already discussed by a few of us in the thread already. Maybe try actually reading the thread before you post in it. If this makes me settled monitor, that's fine as long as you agree to be "the guy who is unable to comprehend basic things, then lashes out at people who point out his lack of reading comprehension". Actually that's not a very good name, let's just call you a tard
FourFlusher 0
How the **** is it slow rolling? There a rule I don't know about that says you have to bet as soon as you can? There could be 50 reasons for it, none of them any business of anybody else, as long as he doesn't take an excessive amount of time, which nobody claimed.Don't take much to put you guys off your game, does it? Let's see if me capping my point will help you see it. THE WHOLE POINT OF THE THREAD IS THAT THE OP IS MAD THAT HIS OPPONENT TOOK A LONG TIME TO CALL WITH QQ ON A Q1010 BOARD WHEN HIS OPPONENT WAS ALREADY ALL IN. TAHT IS AN AUTOMATIC CALL INSTANTANEOUSLY EVERY TIME. THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH TAKING YOUR TIME TO INDUCE BETS FROM YOUR OPPONENT.
FourFlusher 0
What he was probably worried about is "how am I goning to get the most money possible in this pot?"He's entitled to do that, and to be as successful as he can at it. Maybe he did, maybe he didn't, it's usually a judgment call. You can play all the "if I had done this would he have done that?" after the fact games you want, but, you'll never really know for sure.Slow rolling is when you deliberately let the losing hand think he won, then after a time, rolling over the winner. The accompanying cliche is, "good hand....but, not good enough". It's showboating at it's worst, and has no value other than to make the slowroller look like a "look how cool my hand is" jerk and/or an angle shooter trying to get in somebodies skull. You want to critique the guys play, or style, that's your right, but, try to use the appropriate terminolgy. That was my point all along. KowboyKoop 0
GrinderMJ is OWNING!!!!! the sh*t out of whoever is trying to argue with him. This thread is just retarded all around...as the OP's hand is nowhere NEAR "the biggest bullsh*t hand ever." What he was probably worried about is "how am I goning to get the most money possible in this pot?"No...the villian was not worried about this. Why? BECAUSE THE MOST MONEY POSSIBLE WAS ALREADY PUSHED INTO THE POT BY THE OP!!!! Thus..since he hesitated to call with a near invincible hand..that is slowrolling.

Yes we all hesitate at times to conceal our hands ok, that's fine. The op was not mad about that at all. let me repeat, the op wasn't mad about the hesitation, he was mad about his opponent taking a long time to call his ALL IN opponent with top full house which is an instacall everytime. I will repeat again, he was mad about his opponent taking his time to call an all in opponent with the near nuts that he was obviously not folding. My first response to you was that you missed the point of the op, and your point had already been discussed bya few of us. That is all. He can't get into anybody's head or play mind games with top boat and an all in opponent because he is about to bust that opponent, what is the point. It is clearly a form of slowrolling, because he allows his opponent to think his all in bet is the best hand, when the QQ opponent knows he is about to win the hand. Let's leave it at that
FourFlusher 0
You guys are too easy. Now I understand the dog posts.Sorry I lowered your I.Q., Grinder, I thought you guys could enjoy boolshitting about poker, I was wrong.Oh, well, not the first time.
stealfromblind 0
personally i ****ing hate people that slow roll me online. for example last night i had kk on a board of 10AJAA, i bet out the river and he raises. i think for a split second a decide that if he has quads i will pay him off and push all in. maybe i should've just called but oh well. he sits there and lets the time almost run out and then types in the chat "you sure about that?" and then calls. turns over quads. slow rolling is probably the only thing that pisses me off while playing online. if this **** was in my home game i would kick his head in. or maybe i'm just saying that because i'm drunk. no i would still kick his head in. 21gambit 0
It was not a slow roll...it was a perfectly legit ploy that worked to perfection.Slow rolls happen at show down, when you let the loser think he won for a few and then busting his bubble with the better hand.Well planned hesitation is a move, not a slow roll.Yeah, so whats it like to have downs sydrome? I hear you guys make pretty good cheese starring in special olympics dramas on the lifetime channel.
