serge 904 Posted May 21, 2013 Share Posted May 21, 2013 This just brought back the horror of last Monday all over again..BTW that video seems fake...That seemed like it was acting...I was definetely the fan that didnt move after the OT goal..By that time I was 99 percent we were losing..I was in shock and utter disbelief at what I was witnessing.. Actually I was ALMOST slowly getting better before I read this post..**** me..Why the **** did that have to happen.. Puck luck and I'm glad it went my teams way. I'm only tired of the people who think this decided the game. It didn't. Love watching the Hawks lose composure. Seems they thought this was going to be easy. They still might win the series but it's not going to be the cakewalk everyone even myself thought it would be. But he's impeding the goalie's ability to make a save by being in the crease and not immediately retreating. He stood there, so by default, the goalie couldn't. And he was deep in the crease. I understand the call, and I understand the outrage. It comes back, as all officiating discussions do, to consistency, and the NHL's consistent lack thereof. Link to post Share on other sites

So they need to have NFL-style calls; the ref needs to man up and say "The goal was disallowed because the player was in the crease for an extended time period and made no effort to leave; thereby interfering with the goalies ability to make a save".
