MapleLeafpoker 1,462
So, if it's cool with Serge, I'm going to use this thread as the "Zach asks dumb questions about Toronto and you guys answer them in your free time" thread. I was just messing around on Google Maps and stumbled across this burger joint, The Burger's Priest. Have any of you guys eaten there? Did you eat a burger with two grilled cheese sandwiches as buns instead of regular buns, because that's what I want right now in my face. http://www.theburgerspriest.com/ I know the owner is Armenian. Other then that, I cant help you, haven't tried it. As for food in Toronto.....ummm, that could take a while. So many options, so many good ones.....
serge 904
I met the owner of burger priest. He has a good story. Never ate there. Downtown Toronto is a Mecca for all sorts of restaurants. From the $3 sausage to $100 plus per person fine dining. From subway to Indian. Ethiopian to Brazilian. Anything is available.

FCP Bob 1,323
Yeah, I'm pretty excited about that. you're going to be a broke student. Get a thermos to put your ramen noodles in that you have cooked at home first and that will be your lunch.
mrdannyg 274
The cheapest hot dog vendor in the city is located one block south of Yonge/Eglinton, next to the Chapters. They're also really good. The best hot dog vendor is located between Union Subway station and Union Train Station. I don't know if it still exists, but there used to a McDonalds within the grounds of St Clair station, such that you could go there without needing another ticket. So key. That's all I've got. mrdannyg 274
He will be at Yonge and Dundas!!!!!! How far away is Eglinton and Union station? Meh, 5-6 stops away, and probably in the wrong direction from anywhere he'll be going. Though I have gone significantly out of my way to hit the St Clair McDonalds at times (doubt its still there though).
Zach6668 513
My sister lives in the west, off Jane, we'll likely stay around there... So my standard route to school looks like it'll be Bloor subway east, then Young subway south for a few stops, off at Yonge-Dundas square stop. I'll be exploring a lot so don't hate going out if my way a bit. I love new cities. Excited for this move.

I delivered Chinese food for my parents restaurant for years at Jane/Wilson

Makes sense to transfer to go from Bloor to Dundas if you're already on the subway, but once you get below Yonge/Bloor, each of those stops is just a few minute walk. serge 904
This is sort of on topic...Related to MLSE.. I am baffled by the move the Raptors have made...Mr Colangelo, you are no longer good enough to be the GM of our club, however we like you to remain on as President..We will pay you until you find a (better) job. Ridicolous IMO

It was way better than I expected it to be I kept seeing the link all day at other places too, and I only read it thanks to you guys talking it up. Well done! That was awesome. Ive been saying this for years, but next year I am definetly seeing a game at Sunrise. My family have a condo about 15min from there, and my dream is to spend the day at the beach, go the game at 7, and go out to South Beach at 11pm. Perfect no?
